Job Description

Responsibilities

Leadership & Operations

  • Lead daily transport operations: safety, planning, performance, reporting, and optimization.
  • Manage transport coordinators and ensure effective stakeholder coordination (warehouse, depot, barge, 3PL/in-house).
  • Implement Transport Safety Standards and SOPs; conduct Gemba, risk assessments, and incident reporting.
  • Escalate critical compliance risks.
  • Monitor and report operational KPIs (daily/weekly/monthly).
  • Act as Account Management for existing warehouse customers and respond to their new demand

Business Development

  • Coordinate with Sales team to maintain pipeline; Turn business opportunities of both warehouse and transport (RFP/RFQ) into real business by working with internal teams to deliver sound solution
  • Responsible to deliver budget growth target
  • Coordinate with Operations and Implementation for smooth go-live after win

Governance & Programs

  • Accountable for operational safety, profitability, and growth of both Transport and Warehouse Product.
  • Conduct audits, implement corrective/preventive actions, and review deviations.
  • Drive performance communication through regular meetings.
  • Recommend technology improvements and support sustainability initiatives.

Training & Culture

  • Drive cultural transformation and business excellence practices.
  • Promote Maersk Purpose and Values.
  • Develop local-language training materials and escalate HSSEQ issues when required.

Business & Performance

  • Identify commercial opportunities and support compliance efforts.
  • Maintain strong internal and external stakeholder alignment.
  • Deliver results in safety (accident reduction), audit performance, profitability, cost control, customer service, NPS, stakeholder alignment, and ESS.
