Key Responsibilities:
Oversee end-to-end logistics operations including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing, and outbound dispatch.
Manage multiple client accounts, ensuring contractual obligations and SLAs are consistently met.
Monitor and improve operational KPIs: on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, pick rate, productivity, and space utilization.
Lead and develop warehouse teams across various shifts, including supervisors and frontline staff.
Drive health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance, ensuring a safe and clean working environment.
Plan and allocate labor and equipment resources based on forecasted volume and activity levels.
Maintain accurate inventory control through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation processes.
Work closely with customer service and account managers to ensure smooth communication and issue resolution and attend to and resolve customers issues promptly.
Initiate and implement cost saving projects and continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, Kaizen) to enhance service quality and reduce operational costs and wastages. I
Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) effectively for operational control and data accuracy.
Coordinate with transport teams to ensure timely dispatch and delivery performance.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Management, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics or warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Proven experience in managing multi-client 3PL operations or Courier operations.
Strong knowledge of warehouse workflows, WMS systems, and inventory control practices.
Experience leading large teams, including temp/contract labor management.
Familiar with safety standards and regulatory compliance (HSE, ISO, etc.).
Strong analytical, communication, and customer relationship management skills.
Ability to manage high-volume, fast-paced operations while maintaining accuracy and quality.
Must be able to work at Tanjung Pelepas Port, Johor.
