Manager - Operations

Job Description

Financial & Analytical Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze operational costs, including labor, equipment, and warehouse occupancy, to ensure budget efficiency and cost control.
  • Review and interpret key financial metrics such as accruals and basic Profit & Loss (P&L) reports to support strategic decision-making.
  • Approve daily labor and overtime requests based on operational needs and budget constraints.
  • Drive data-driven initiatives to improve cost-effectiveness and operational performance.
  • Report financial and performance insights to direct manager with actionable recommendations.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of company policies and procedures to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Design and maintain an effective operational structure that promotes high performance, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Warehouse Supervisors to monitor and optimize warehouse productivity, manpower allocation, and equipment utilization.
  • Review and approve changes in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) to ensure process consistency and compliance.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (Audit, HSE, HR, Transport) to ensure smooth and compliant operations.

People & Customer Management

  • Conduct regular employee performance reviews and coordinate with HR and General Operations Manager for development and succession planning.
  • Develop team capabilities through structured training aligned with the skills matrix.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement among operations staff.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnership.
