Job Description

The Lead Logistics Product Manager – PAK Area is a senior commercial and product leadership role responsible for shaping and growing Maersk’s lead logistics business across the area. Lead logistics refers to the end-to-end management and coordination of a customer’s supply chain, bringing together transportation, warehousing, customs and other logistics services through one integrated solution. The role owns the area product strategy, growth agenda, and profit-and-loss performance, while guiding cross-functional teams to design competitive solutions, win strategic opportunities, expand existing customer partnerships, and adapt global offerings to local market needs.

This position provides strategic direction for the Lead Logistics portfolio in Pakistan. The successful candidate will operate as the senior product authority for the area, translating global and regional priorities into a focused local plan and mobilizing Sales, Solution Design, Pricing, Operations, Technology, Finance, and other stakeholders around its delivery. This is not a junior product coordination role; it requires an experienced leader who can make sound commercial decisions, constructively challenge stakeholders, represent the product with senior customers, and take accountability for sustainable, profitable growth.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and execute Area plan for Lead Logistics in line with Global & Regional strategy

  • Develop a clear Area plan for how to drive LL forward across customer segments, verticals, countries and products
  • Drive the Area LL go-to-market strategy including customization or localization, sales enablement, marketing and customer experience
  • Use customer insights, market data, and operational performance to identify new opportunities and recommend strategic choices.

Drive Lead Logistics growth

  • Maintain and grow existing business through successful contract renewals with expanded geographical and/or service scope
  • Collaborate closely with the Global and Regional LL community and Sales & Marketing teams to ensure effective targeting and penetration
  • Monitor the LL sales pipeline and as necessary drive inflow, velocity and win rate via Area Sales Managers
  • Analyze market and guide sales with key pursuits, both for accounts controlled within area but also pursuits controlled in other regions
  • Provide Product Mng., SME, Solution Engineering & Pricing support to relevant opportunities to achieve required profitable growth
  • Personally, and actively, support strategic pursuits to maximize win-rate, including attending key client meetings
  • Lead local product development and localization of global products to meet specific prioritized customer needs
  • Support the development of sales capabilities in the region by providing product training, value selling coaching etc

Responsible for Area Lead Logistics P&L

  • Drive ambitiously realistic targets and follow through with initiatives and performance management to achieve them.
  • Own the Lead Logistics profit-and-loss performance for the area and set ambitious but evidence-based growth, revenue, margin, and productivity targets.
  • Review business performance regularly, identify the underlying causes of variances, and lead timely corrective actions with Commercial, Operations, Finance, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain disciplined pricing and deal governance, ensuring commercial decisions reflect solution cost, implementation complexity, operational risk, contractual exposure, and long-term value.
  • Provide clear forecasts, performance updates, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership, supported by accurate data and sound commercial judgement.
  • Evaluate the performance and relevance of the local portfolio, recommending where to invest, scale, redesign, or stop activities.

Be an active participant within the Global & Regional Lead Logistics Community

  • Capture and share knowledge / best practices throughout the organization to support short- and long-term success
  • Speak up and share both supportive and critical views in a way that fosters a dynamic and engaging pursuit of continuous improvement
  • Promote a culture of accountability, constructive challenge, collaboration, and continuous improvement, and coach colleagues supporting the Lead Logistics agenda

Who we are looking for:

  • Significant senior-level experience in lead logistics, supply chain management or a comparable end-to-end supply chain role.
  • A strong record of leading business growth and managing commercial or profit-and-loss outcomes in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Deep understanding of supply chain networks and the interaction between transportation, warehousing, customs, inventory, order management, control-tower activities, and supporting technology.
  • Demonstrated experience shaping complex customer solutions and supporting the full commercial cycle, from opportunity qualification and solution development through pricing, negotiation, implementation handover, and renewal.
  • Strategic thinking combined with strong execution discipline, including the ability to translate broad priorities into clear plans, decisions, ownership, and measurable results.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, with confidence interpreting revenue, margin, cost-to-serve, pipeline, forecast, risk, and performance data.
  • Proven leadership and influencing capability across senior internal stakeholders, cross-functional teams, external partners, and executive-level customers.
  • Sound understanding of digital supply chain platforms, data visibility, systems integration, and the role of technology in delivering scalable logistics solutions.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry sectors and the ability to connect sector-specific customer challenges with practical supply chain solutions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and decision-making skills, with the confidence to constructively challenge assumptions and make recommendations at senior-leadership level.
  • A bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, engineering, or a related discipline is preferred; an advanced degree or relevant professional qualification is an advantage.
