Job Summary:


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Inbound Lead to oversee and drive the end-to-end inbound operations at our warehouse. This is a senior role responsible for managing the inbound team, optimizing processes, ensuring compliance, and supporting the 3PL/contract logistics business. The ideal candidate will have strong warehouse operations experience, exposure to 3PL/contract logistics, and proven leadership in managing high-volume inbound operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Inbound Operations & Inventory Management:

  • Lead and manage inbound logistics, receiving, inspection, and put-away operations across multiple lines or shifts

  • Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of incoming shipments with POs and invoices

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize inbound workflows, dock scheduling, and storage utilization

  • Maintain inventory accuracy through robust cycle counts, audits, and process improvements

  • Apply best practices such as FIFO, LIFO, 5S, and KAIZEN to enhance inbound efficiency and minimize damages or shrinkage

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of warehouse supervisors, associates, and receiving staff

  • Assign responsibilities, monitor KPIs (e.g., receiving accuracy, dock-to-stock cycle time), and ensure targets are met

  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement in line with company HSE and OSHA standards

  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with procurement, supply chain, and inventory control teams

Process Optimization & Cost Efficiency, Compliance:

  • Analyze inbound operations data to identify efficiency improvements and cost-saving opportunities

  • Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance throughput, reduce bottlenecks, and improve service levels

  • Lead initiatives to automate inbound processes and integrate technology solutions (WMS, ERP, barcode/RFID systems)

  • Ensure inbound operations comply with regulatory requirements and company policies

  • Maintain accurate records for audits and reporting purposes

  • Oversee the handling and storage of hazardous, temperature-sensitive, or high-value materials where applicable

Required Qualifications & Skills: Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred

  • 10+ years of experience in warehouse inbound operations, preferably in a 3PL or contract logistics environment.

  • Proven experience managing teams, leading high-volume inbound operations, and driving process improvements

  • Strong knowledge of WMS, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.), and automated inventory tracking

  • Ability to analyse data, forecast inbound volumes, and develop operational strategies

  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse environment

  • Comfortable working in warehouse conditions with varying temperatures

  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, or overtime as required to meet operational demands
