The HSE Business Partner – Taiwan will be a trusted partner to our operations, providing professional HSE expertise while working closely with leaders and frontline teams to manage risks, strengthen compliance and continuously improve how we work.
This is more than a traditional HSE Officer role. The HSE Business Partner works across multiple operational sites and partners with site leaders to identify priorities, influence how HSE is integrated into operational decisions, support leaders in building stronger HSE ownership, and contribute to a proactive and sustainable safety culture across our Taiwan operations.
Working with Taiwan Operations, cross-functional stakeholders and Area/Regional HSE teams, you will help turn APMM global HSE standards and priorities into practical solutions that work in the local operational environment.
We are looking not only for experience, but also for potential, curiosity and the ability to grow. If you have a solid HSE foundation and want to develop your career toward broader business partnering and HSE leadership, this role provides an excellent opportunity to do so.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a trusted HSE advisor to site managers, enabling them to take ownership of HSE performance and providing practical guidance on risk management, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
Partner with Site Managers, Safety Champions and frontline teams to identify significant HSE risks and implement effective controls, applying the hierarchy of controls across workplace, equipment and operational design.
Support compliance with Taiwan Occupational Safety and Health regulations and APMM global HSE standards, identifying gaps and supporting sustainable improvement actions.
Partner with Operations, HR, Procurement and other functions to strengthen HSE management, contractor safety, accountability and operational risk controls.
Support incident and high-potential incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions, using HSE data and lessons learned to influence risk-based decisions and prevent recurrence.
Coach Site Managers and Safety Champions to strengthen HSE leadership, ownership and employee engagement, including training, learning activities, management reviews and HSE Committee activities.
Provide professional guidance on emergency preparedness, environmental management, site inspections and specialized risk assessments, working with internal and external experts where required.
Provide HSE input and risk assessments for new projects, business growth, facilities, equipment and operational changes, ensuring HSE risks are identified and managed early.
What We’re Looking For
Strong understanding of Taiwan Occupational Safety and Health regulations, HSE risk management and management systems, with the ability to translate requirements into practical, business-focused direction.
Strong business partnering and collaboration skills, with demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with operational leaders, frontline teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
Practical and business-oriented mindset, with the ability to understand operational priorities, identify material risks and develop proportionate and workable HSE solutions.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and judgment skills, with the ability to use HSE data, operational insights and lessons learned to support risk-based decision-making.
Confidence to coach, influence and constructively challenge operational leaders, while strengthening management ownership of HSE.
Ability to work independently across multiple locations, manage priorities and collaborate effectively across functions.
Proactive, resilient and willing to learn, with the ability to collaborate effectively across local, regional and external stakeholder groups.
Good Chinese and English communication skills for working effectively in a multinational environment.
