Key responsibilities

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and constant drive towards incident free operations, through the elimination of equipment defects or operational risks.
  • Drive a culture of learning by implementing defect elimination/root cause analysis and investigations for repetitive failures.
  • As Part of Global Reliability team continually monitor and drive improvement of equipment Reliability KPIs to improve overall equipment availability & reliability within your region especially MTBF
  • Participate and contribute to global APMT reliability regional and global communities, exchanging data and sharing best practice to improve global equipment maintenance strategies
  • Conduct/commission FMECA or similar studies on new or modified terminal equipment, ensuring the most effective methods of maintenance are selected
  • Review and identify bad actors within your region Reliability Performance, conduct and Kaizen events in collaboration with local teams to understand issues, put actions plans and close the gap.
  • Monitor and make sure all terminal’s maintenance and Reliability KPIs are correctly reported.
  • Collaborate with global Reliability and Planning team and ensure alignment with long-term strategy and pull-on global AM support as needed
  • Key point of contact for the regional Reliability and planning team to drive and integrate key short-term and long-term support.
  • Promote best practice in reliability engineering by ensuring that the right knowledge is available throughout the terminal’s maintenance teams
  • Work collaboratively with key external and internal Stakeholders including all terminal staff, Reginal and global Asset Maintenance teams, and OEMs
  • Develop strategies for the optimization and management of maintenance and repair costs through improved reliability and support the implementation of cost optimization measures

We are looking for:

  • Minimum university degree in related industry
  • Background in Mechanical/Electrical/ Electronic/ Communication/ Mechatronics Engineer level (or local country equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in reliability management, CBM program implementation and Asset Maintenance operations.
  • Experience in CBM programs (Ultrasound, Thermography, Vibration, Oil Analysis, and NDT inspections)
  • Proven ability to lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA), FMECA studies, and defect elimination initiatives for port terminal equipment.
  • Experience in reliability project management and exposure to project controls
  • Strong analysis skills to identify key opportunities and priorities applicable to all key terminal equipment
  • Structured, driven, self-motivating, result orientated
  • Highly disciplined, following through on actions and ensuring necessary documentation/ implementation.
  • Sensitive to cultural diversity and experience in a multicultural environment, in regard to employees, local authorities and other stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills to gain buy-in from diverse stakeholders
  • Good written English and verbal communication
  • Ability to lead without authority and self-initiative
