Purpose of the role

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing the global growth strategy for the Energy market vertical within Maersk Project Logistics (MPL). The role will drive business development, strategic growth initiatives, solution engineering, pricing strategy, and go-to-market execution to expand our market presence, strengthen customer relationships, and accelerate profitable growth. Acting as a key connector across the organization, you will collaborate closely with Sales, Product, Solution Design, Bid Management, Procurement, regional teams, and other functional stakeholders to develop compelling, scalable, and competitive customer solutions. Through strong commercial leadership and deep industry insight, you will position Maersk Project Logistics as the partner of choice for complex energy supply chain and project logistics requirements worldwide.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and execute global business development, consulting, and solution engineering activities for the Energy vertical.
  • Drive MPL’s global growth initiatives in line with annual revenue, win-rate, and profitability targets.
  • Establish and continuously refine the vertical’s Go-to-Market and Pricing strategy, including where to play, how to win, and how to price.
  • Provide market-leading, innovative, and customer-centric supply chain and logistics solutions that support commercial success.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement with senior-level customers, commercial sales teams, and regional growth teams.
  • Consolidate and share market intelligence on competitors, pricing, customer trends, and segment opportunities.
  • Lead the development and implementation of standardized solution design processes, tools, and best practices across MPL.
  • Drive strategic opportunity pursuit jointly with regions, including bid strategy, qualification, and proposal oversight.
  • Ensure consistent monthly delivery of revenue, GP, conversion ratios, and sales bridge metrics through active Win Rate monitoring.
  • Support implementation of won opportunities to ensure solution design intent is maintained through delivery.Build vertical competencies, tools, and knowledge across regions to create a globally aligned and effective go-to-market approach.
  • Strengthen supplier partnerships and market relationships relevant to vertical solutions.
  • Represent MPL at key customer engagements, visits, industry events, exhibitions, and strategic reviews.

What you bring

  • Extensive experience in logistics solution design for the Energy industry, particularly the offshore segment, either as logistics service provider or an OEM.
  • Experience in senior management facing engagements and presentations
  • Understanding of the key profitability drivers in logistics and supply chain management
  • Strong ability to facilitate cross-functional decision-making and execution
  • Strong communication and presentation skill
