FINOPS Intern

We are looking for an efficient and detail-oriented billing intern to join us. The billing intern responsibilities include executing job costing, ensuring timely and accurate billing to customers and payment to vendors, as well as intercompany billing. Analyze CM1, detect revenue leakage, identifies opportunities for improvements in the processes

The Opportunity:

Maersk offers a great opportunity for university students seeking to gain hands-on experience in various business areas. As an intern, you will play an important role in supporting our teams across different functions and help drive the optimization of processes, data analysis, and operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure Accurate and Timely Invoicing

Manage invoicing processes to meet deadlines (ETA/ETD/JRD), prevent delays, and minimize credit notes by addressing root causes.

Monitor and Optimize Job Costing

Perform job costing aligned with global KPIs, resolve workflow issues, and ensure correct material usage and PO creation.

Resolve Discrepancies and Prevent Revenue Leakage

Investigate billing discrepancies, address system errors (e.g., GSC interface issues), and proactively prevent revenue loss.

Leverage Tools and Reports for Process Improvement

Utilize Excel

Collaborate Across Teams

Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders (Operations, Finance, Sales, Procurement, GSC) to ensure smooth operations and issue resolution.

We're looking for:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Industrial Engineer, Maritime and Port Engineer, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, International Business, Logistics.
  • Approval from the educational institution: You must have the necessary approval from your educational institution to carry out the internship as part of your academic curriculum. This is a mandatory requirement.
  • Organized, analytical, detail oriented, proactive, team player, eager to learn
  • Excel intermediate to advance
  • SAP Expertise (desirable)
  • Time management skills
  • Collaborative
  • Operational Financial Savvy (Connection between Finance and Operations, Selling and buying rate, Gross Profit calculation).
  • English written and spoken –able to hold a business conversation.
