Financial Control & Reporting includes roles that are responsible for ensuring the overall accuracy and integrity of financial information through effective financial control procedures. Consolidates information and prepares timely and accurate financial reporting, and handles financial modelling. Analyzes internal financial information (e.g., profit loss accounts, financial statements, working capital, costs, prices, expenses, revenues, rates of return, etc.), as well as external economic conditions and their impact on business operations.
Administrative stream includes those who primarily support others by performing skilled technical, administrative or operational tasks. Jobs may range from highly supervised entry-level workers, technicians, and administrative staff to experienced individual contributors with robust technical or practical knowledge in specific areas, who have an ability to execute specialized work to support operations.
At the top of this career stream, individuals work independently and apply standards, yet can also make departures from established processes to resolve problems.
A colleague at this level works on tasks of limited scope and complexity, exercises independent judgment within defined boundaries and guidelines and typically under supervision. The colleague has skills developed through job-related training and on-the-job experience within a specific job discipline.
Colleagues have knowledge of standardized work routines and methods, general facts and information but may need to escalate non-routine problems to a more experienced colleague or supervisor.

Responsibilities:
Cost Control & Revenue Assurance
•Oversee area and country cost accrual and billing accuracy & timeliness, ensuring operational and financial data integrity.•Address outlier shipments with operations and/or stations (loss-making, profit-making, incurred storage, etc).•Minimize revenue leakage, optimize shipment margins, and reduce unbilled or uncollected revenue.•Ensure vendor invoices, carrier contracts, and rate agreements are correctly reflected in financial systems.
Operational Finance Integration
•Serve as the key link between Finance, Airfreight Operations, and LCL Operations.•Collaborate with operations on pricing validation, file closure accuracy, and workflow financial compliance.•Utilize KPI dashboards to measure financial efficiency and operational performance.•Drive country standardization of finance-related processes (invoicing, accruals, cost matching, revenue posting) globally.
Financial Governance & Profitability Management
•Financial oversight for Airfreight and LCL P&L, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.•Establish and maintain financial governance frameworks, including cost control, margin analysis, and revenue recognition standards within Air & LCL.•Monitor and analyse gross profit performance, trade lane profitability, and yield management metrics.•Partner with operational and procurement leaders to identify cost-saving and margin improvement opportunities.•Identify and help minimize out-of-period and/or prior-period adjustments, including root-cause analysis.•Drive financial visibility and accountability through standardized reporting and analytics.
Business Partnering & Strategic Support
•Partner with country leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and business planning for Airfreight and LCL.•Provide actionable insights to regional, area and country management regarding profitability drivers, trade lane performance, and customer contribution.•Review client profitability to proactively identify and escalate loss-making clients.•Help identify operational execution gaps, financial risk, compliance, and/or internal control issues. Help drive resolution and adherence
Critical Competencies
•Minimum 2–5 years of experience in financial or commercial operations within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.•Strong background in airfreight and LCL financial management, including cost control, P&L ownership, and margin analysis.•Proven success working in cross-functional environments involving Finance, Operations, and Commercial.•Financial and operational acumen with strategic thinking ability.•Detail-oriented and data-driven.•Excellent communicator across functions.•Integrity, accountability, and commitment to continuous improvement.•Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced international environment.•A relentless mindsight, with excellent follow up skills.
