Key responsibilities
We're seeking an Equipment Repair and Maintenance Inspector to join our team in Tanjung Pelepas, Malaysia. Your role will involve managing container repair and maintenance and deliver to the timely availability of empty containers at the required depots. You'll also be responsible for efficient cost management.
Equipment Maintenance and Repair (EMR):
- Manage EMR daily operations: Oversee and manage the daily activities related to EMR at specific locations, ensuring that potential faults are identified and resolved promptly.
- Cost control and analysis: Implement and maintain cost control measures for the specific location, including analysing unit costs and identifying areas for cost reduction.
- Monitor and manage suppliers: Monitor EMR suppliers to ensure they meet quality and productivity standards and set and align individual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for suppliers.
- Policy and SOP implementation: Follow and ensure the implementation of EMR policies and instructions from the CENEMR Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Regularly check compliance with these guidelines.
- Approve estimates: Review and approve estimates within the set limits for the specific location, ensuring that they align with budgetary constraints and operational requirements.
- Audit and system management: Periodically conduct audits on repair shops to control inspection and repair quality. Manage relevant systems to ensure data quality and monitor the implementation of correction plans by EMR suppliers.
We’re looking for
- Around 5 years of experience in maintenance and repair for dry/reefer container
- Working experience in shipping / liner is highly advantageous
- IICL certification is good to have
- Proficient in MS Excel/Power BI
- Excellent communication in English
