Job Summary
We are seeking a results-driven and customer-focused Direct Transport Sales Representative to manage and grow a portfolio of existing customers while identifying and securing new business opportunities. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strong customer relationships, achieving sales targets, and promoting Maersk’s transport and logistics solutions to meet customer needs. Experience in project cargo sales will be considered a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and develop a portfolio of assigned customers to maximize revenue growth and customer retention.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customer stakeholders.
Achieve individual sales targets and effectively manage the assigned sales budget.
Identify customer requirements and recommend tailored transport and logistics solutions.
Prospect, qualify, and secure new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
Conduct regular customer visits, presentations, and business reviews.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.
Communicate pricing updates, service enhancements, and policy changes to customers.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records, sales activities, and opportunities within CRM systems.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and high customer satisfaction.
Develop and expand business networks and industry contacts to support business growth.
Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and pipeline updates for management review.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or a related field.
Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably within transportation, logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain services.
Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Experience using CRM systems and sales management tools.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong negotiation, influencing, and closing abilities.
Ability to analyze market data and identify business opportunities.
Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Project Cargo sales, heavy-lift transportation, breakbulk logistics, or specialized logistics solutions.
Knowledge of international transportation, freight forwarding, and supply chain operations.
Existing network of industry contacts and customers within the logistics sector.
