You will be working for one of our key clients, who is the premier roaster and retailer of specialty coffee in the world.

The position is based in Amsterdam, Accraweg.

Key responsibilities:
Your role will be to plan and coordinate inbound truck movements for one of our most important customers. Activities may include the following (but are not limited to):

Carrier Management

  • Carrier Onboarding: Seamlessly integrate new carriers.
  • KPI Management/Reporting: Drive performance with monthly KPI reports.
  • Supplier Performance (OTIF): Ensure suppliers meet on-time, in-full standards.
  • Monthly Carrier Performance Call: Review and improve carrier performance.
  • Validate/Monitor Rates: Ensure best value and contract adherence.
  • Forecasting: Predict trends and demands accurately.
  • Ad hoc Reporting: Provide quarterly finance and performance insights.

Execution

  • Inform Partners About Shipment Status: Keep everyone updated on shipments.
  • Exception Management: Address and resolve shipment issues.
  • Monitor and Book Timeslots: Manage scheduling efficiently.
  • Follow Up on Milestones: Ensure milestones are met and updated.
  • Invoicing: Handle invoicing accurately.
  • Document Management: Keep documentation organized.

Continuous Improvement

  • Carrier Benchmarking: Review and improve carrier performance quarterly.
  • Weekly Alignment Calls: Stay aligned with weekly forecasting calls.
  • Monthly Market Update: Provide insights on the road freight market.


This role requires coverage from 8:00h to 18:00h in a small team, therefore you need to be available to work between these hours.
Although the aim should be to bring out-of-office calls down to a minimum, you are expected to be available on the phone in the evening and during weekends, to solve any issues.

We are looking for:

  • We are looking for a motivated, persistent and enthusiastic person with a possibility and a passion for solving complex issues.
  • Logistics experience is a plus.
  • Is fluent in English (proficiency in Dutch is a plus)
  • Is adaptable, open to learning, improvement and proactive.
