Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement country-level Airfreight Operations strategy in alignment with global business goals.
  • Drive, manage and mentor Airfreight Import & Export Teams (incl. Airport Teams) to deliver with quality performance. Ensure budgetary targets are met through clear objective-setting.
  • Partner with Financial Operations, Continuous Improvement, and Subject Matter Experts to set Air Product priorities.
  • Ensure all operations adhere to local regulations, IATA standards, and internal group procedures.
  • Lead transformative airfreight projects, develop high performance service culture within the Airfreight, Sales, Network and other related departments and Stations.
  • Direct the relation & operational management with airlines, MAERSK AIR, Regional Gateways, GHA (Ground Handling Agents), DHMI /General Directorate of Civil Airports and SHGM / Civil Aviation, Turkish Customs, Airport Authorities.


Who We Are Looking For

  • Preferably bachelor’s degree with previous experience in airfreight, incl. team supervision.
  • Deep knowledge of the airfreight business (export/import) and technical logistics concepts.
  • Knowledge about CASS processes, IATA regulations, Airfreight Processes
  • CargoWise1 and SAP exposure is a plus.
  • Business mindset with the ability to make data-driven, well-informed decisions.
  • Experience in managing projects, navigating complex organizational tasks within a matrix environment.
  • Relationship-builder, engaging with both internal departments and external partners.
  • Interpersonal skills to foster collaboration between various groups to achieve shared goals.
  • A proven leader with a track record of motivating and developing teams.
  • Open to travel.
  • Proficiency in English and Microsoft Office programs.
