Then here is your unique opportunity to join Maersk as Travel Category Manager. Here, you will join the Indirect Category Management Travel team, where you will play an active role in procuring a range of travel categories spanning across Global Hotels, Meetings & Events, Car Hire & Travel Management Company to name a few.

You will be a part of a Global Procurement team working closely with stakeholders across all departments & geographies and liaising with travel suppliers globally.

Key responsibilities

  • Support our organisation’s travel needs for us to serve our customers.
  • Lead the Global Hotels and Meetings & Events category for Maersk
  • Build a robust Meetings & Events program and Hotel program for our Corporate, Marine & Air Cargo setup.
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders and share guidance regarding Maersk’s Travel Management setup and policies
  • Collaborate with Travel Management companies and develop solutions to ensure smooth & innovative travel operations
  • Focus of digitisation on the travel program
  • Manage a complex stakeholder matrix across different organisations

We are looking for:

You must thrive in a fast paced, fast changing, and dynamic environment and be a true team player with strong analytical abilities as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

You:

  • You have at least 5-10 years of experience from a larger enterprise organisation, with deep knowledge of Procurement and Global Travel Management.
  • Have experience in managing the Hotel and/or Meetings & Events category globally
  • Have experience is implementing digital tools across the travel program.
  • Enjoy working in the travel industry and are interested in networking with industry peers
  • Are capable of getting stakeholder buy-in and alignment to standard processes and best practice
  • Are a team player with experience in working in global teams
  • Have a structured approach to work and ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently
  • Have strong project management experience
  • Have proven analytical skills with a sharp eye for detail
  • Are a self-starter and capable of working independently
  • Have the ability to influence without authority and strong interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships at all organizational levels
  • Have demonstrated experience in successfully implementing change in complex organizations.
  • Are international in your mind-set supported by high level of proficiency and confidence in spoken and written English

You will have significant responsibility from the start and are expected to execute and deliver on time and with a great sense of detail.
