As a Cashier Agent, you will play a vital role in Maersk’s finance team, ensuring seamless financial transactions and accurate record-keeping. This role requires strong attention to detail, customer service skills, and financial expertise to support day-to-day operations, maintain compliance, and contribute to the efficiency of our financial processes

Key Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of this role include:

Processing Transactions:

  • Handle payments, including cash, credit/debit cards, bank transfers, and checks.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient processing of all transactions.

Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions.
  • Input financial data into the company’s accounting system.

Customer Interaction:

  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, providing them with receipts, invoices, and updates.

Reconciliation:

  • Perform end-of-day cash reconciliation, ensuring that all amounts match and report discrepancies.
  • Work with the accounting department to resolve any cash discrepancies.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Adhere to security protocols to protect the company’s assets and financial data.

Other Duties:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial documentation required for audits.
  • Support the finance department in various administrative tasks as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a cashier or finance-related role, ideally in the shipping or logistics sector.
  • Strong understanding of financial transactions and record-keeping practices.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work with financial software and spreadsheets.
  • Detail-oriented and accurate in handling transactions.

This role plays a crucial part in the day-to-day financial operations of a shipping company, ensuring smooth and accurate cash handling, supporting customer relations, and assisting the finance team in maintaining proper financial records.
