Maersk Ground Freight (MGF) offers transportation services like FTL (Full Truckload), LTL (Less Than Truckload), brokerage, cross-border trucking, groupage, and sortation hubs, connecting Maersk or Customer warehouses or depots or cross-dock/consolidation/deconsolidation facilities through a robust network led by best-in-class operations and technology. This integrated network will service multi-channels like B2B, B2C, B2B2C, e-commerce, direct to store, dropship, returns, and more, leveraging asset-based, asset-light, and non-asset models.

Summary:

In close collaboration with the Finance Business Partnering team, drive financial performance management with Station Managers with guidance and support on financial metrics, business performance and implementation of strategies/projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tracks Month to Date Financial Performance to inform revenue and EBIT weekly forecast for Specialized LTL Product
  • Manage the financial hygiene for specific stations in conjunction with the Station Manager (accrual management, invoice timeliness/accuracy, etc.)
  • Manage and drive the labor management process for specific stations
  • Provides risks and opportunities as it relates to specific stations with market driven trends
  • Assists in creating monthly financial reporting packages
  • Assists in populating monthly MOS deck
  • Assists Sr FBP and FBP team on various adhoc projects

Accountabilities:

  • Daily financial position reporting and full month forecasting to assist stakeholders in real-time decision making.
  • Provide risks and opportunities to product and delivery leads
  • Supports the regional business stakeholders to deliver on their accountabilities
  • Ability to analyze station performance versus ROFO
  • Ability to use discretion/judgement to make choices and commitments on behalf of the company
  • Drive intense performance management with Specialized LTL Product & Delivery Team
  • Daily financial position
  • Weekly forecasting
  • Annual budgeting
  • Month-end reporting

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Advanced or Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred
  • Quantitative experience of related activity
  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Mastery of Excel
  • Financial analysis capabilities
  • Basic understanding of accounting
  • Creative thinking/problem solving
  • Communication skills to be able to talk to stakeholders with various backgrounds/level of understanding financials
  • Travel domestic is expected for 2% of time (visit 1-2 stations per year)

Pay Range:

  • $75,000 - $85,000*


*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
