The Position:

The AU Air Import Operator will deliver operational excellence to our Maersk customers and actively build strong relationships with customers as well as Maersk nominated vendors for air imports across Australia.

This role can be based in either the Melbourne CBD or Tullamarine office (hybrid model). Working days are from Sunday to Thursday (with Friday & Saturday off).

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Relationship: Be the primary point of contact for customers and act as an advocate for the customer internally. Actively build strong relationships with customers and gain an understanding of their business, service needs, drivers and desires.
• Customer Experience: Own the customer experience & achieve best-in-class Operational Experience.
• Process execution: Ensure smooth execution of the end-to-end shipment by working closely with customer, internal stakeholders and vendors.
• Standard Adherence: Adhering to process in line with the agreed execution Standards and customer specific IOP’s and monitor respective KPI’s.
• Business growth: Identify and execute upselling opportunities, and drive value through the network.

Who We are Looking For:

• Ideally 3 -5 years' experience in airfreight import operations.
• Extensive knowledge of CW1 (Cargowise) & ICS.
• Dangerous Goods certification would be an added advantage.
• Strong communication, critical thinking & problem-solving skills.

Please note that this role requires full working rights in Australia.
