Associate SAP TM L1/L2 Tech Support Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive SAP Transportation Management (TM) L1/L2 Tech Support Engineer to provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support for SAP TM solutions. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, possess strong problem-solving abilities, and have the ability to work effectively in a global team environment. Additionally, this role will involve training team members who do not have an SAP background to help them understand fundamental concepts related to SAP TM.

A key focus of this role is monitoring system performance, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing automation opportunities to reduce manual effort and enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

· Monitor system performance, analyze trends, and proactively identify potential issues before they impact business operations.

· Develop and implement automation solutions to streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and minimize manual intervention in repetitive tasks.

· Provide L1/L2 technical support for SAP TM, troubleshooting issues, and resolving incidents promptly.

· Assist users with functional and technical queries, ensuring efficient resolution and minimal disruption.

· Work closely with global teams, coordinating system updates, patches, and enhancements while ensuring stability and compliance.

· Document support cases, solutions, automation implementations, and best practices in knowledge base articles.

· Collaborate with SAP consultants and developers to escalate complex issues (L3 support).

· Ensure compliance with IT security and SAP governance guidelines.

· Provide training and guidance to end-users on SAP TM functionalities, best practices, and automation tools.

· Train and mentor team members who do not have an SAP background, helping them understand the basics of SAP TM and its integration with business processes.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

· Experience in SAP TM support (L1/L2).

· Knowledge of SAP TM configuration, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.

· Familiarity with transportation planning, freight management, and order execution in SAP TM.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in identifying and implementing automation opportunities.

· Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users.

· Experience in ticketing systems and handling support requests in an IT service environment.

· Proactive approach to system monitoring and identifying areas for improvement.

· Willingness to adapt and learn in a fast-changing enterprise environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Exposure to SAP S/4HANA and Fiori apps related to TM.

· Experience with EDI, API integrations, and interfaces in SAP TM.

· Understanding of SQL and basic debugging techniques.

· Familiarity with cloud-based SAP deployments.

· Experience in automation tools or scripting (such as Python, PowerShell, or SAP automation frameworks).
