Assistant Manager - IT Solutions

Job Description

This position requires to have a combination of strong technical product management knowledge and previous experience implementing technology in warehouse operations. This person is someone who enjoys solving complex business problems by building technical solutions and working with cross-functional teams (particularly development teams) to get them delivered. For candidate that like end-to-end product ownership and delivering high customer value, this would be the role that best suit.

Key Responsibilities
• Track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a high growth, fast paced environment.
• Product and Platform Management (70%), Support and Maintenance (10%), Design and Development (20%)
• Author documents relating to product life cycle including product roadmap, business requirements and functional specifications.
• Drive product development across teams (such as Engineering, Operations, UX) within the reporting and visibility product suite, through business requirements, design, implementation, and continuous improvement.
• Research and recommend innovative technology solutions, managing and maintaining product releases and documentation.
• Work collaboratively with Engineering as an advocate for the needs of our customers and operations.
• Work with the business in understanding reporting and visibility requirements and derive and build up the solutions.
• To participate in provide product and platform training, solution proposals, and presentation.


Basic Qualifications
• At least 3 - 5 years working experience with reporting and visibility background. Experience in the logistics industry is a distinct advantage.
• B.S. in Computer Science or Logistics or related field
• Understanding of Logistics reporting needs that is essential, including industry type KPI's such as DIFOT, is an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of cross application integration such as security authentication, APIs.
• Comfortable with Windows, Tableau and Microsoft Office applications such as Windows Server OS, MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Java and PL/SQL. Basic knowledge and experience in database query's (such as MS SQL)
• Verbal and written communication skills (business proficiency in English, additional languages such as Mandarin would be a plus).
• Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively and deliver in a fast-paced goal-oriented environment.
• Ability to identify and solve complex, ambiguous problems.
• Builds strong relationships quickly with technical, as well as business stakeholders.
• Fast learner with initiative on personal growth and development.


Preferred qualifications
• Extensive knowledge of technologies that support warehousing processes (e.g. WMS).
• Experience with Scrum and/or other agile development methodologies.
• Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills, ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
