We are part of Ocean Asset Partnerships team, who is in charge of overall vessel related procurement activities. You will become a member of a truly global team and collaborate closely with operation and technical team to develop and implement different initiatives for excellence of our global vessel fleet, as we go on a journey for carbon neutral.

This position is based in Shanghai, China.
Key responsibilities
Creation and implementation of category strategies to effectively manage procurement activities within Safety and Nautical area, including strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, project implementation and continuous improvement
Negotiate the best deal for the company also taking the full lifetime cost into consideration
Seamless collaboration with stakeholders of technical and operation team to initiate, strategize, plan and implement various work streams
Achievement of key category target incl. cost management, operation excellence, innovation engagement and ESG initiatives
Address day-to-day operational queries within your area of responsibility.
Establish and apply cost modelling concepts, spend & demand analysis and evaluation
Take the lead in coordinating and managing projects of cross-function team to achieve related objectives and targets.
Maintain and develop strong relationships with suppliers, monitor their performance, and drive innovation and continuous improvement in supplier partnerships.
We’re looking for
We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about the maritime industry and has the will, curiosity, and experience to impact the business.
Solid procurement background, preferably within the marine industry with comprehensive understanding of procurement processes, industry-specific regulations, and supplier management within the marine sector
A strong negotiator with proven track record of successful negotiation outcomes, including contract terms, pricing, and supplier agreements
Strong commercial mindset with a natural focus on achieving the most cost-efficient solutions to the business
Good at solving complex business problems in a structured and analytical manner
Have an entrepreneurial mindset and are good at balancing multidimensional stakeholder demands with the need for results
Proficient in collecting, analysing, and interpreting data to derive insights and support informed decision-making.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Able to collaborate effectively, resolve conflicts, and foster productive partnerships with suppliers, colleagues, and cross-functional teams
Proficient skill in speaking and writing English
A team player that could collaborate with internal/external stakeholders
Equipped with mindset to challenge the status quote and find creative solution in a complex environment
