Air Import Agent

Responsible for the efficient handling of international air import shipments, ensuring high service quality, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction. The role requires close collaboration with customers, overseas offices, carriers, and internal stakeholders while maintaining compliance with company procedures and performance targets.

Key Responsibilities ​

• Manage and coordinate daily air freight import shipments from arrival through final delivery.
• Monitor shipment status and ensure timely execution of all operational activities.
• Communicate proactively with customers, overseas offices, airlines, service providers, and internal departments in both German and English.
• Ensure compliance with internal processes, customer requirements, and industry regulations.
• Maintain and achieve internal and customer-specific KPI targets.
• Provide regular shipment updates and proactively manage exceptions, delays, and service disruptions.
• Identify operational challenges and implement effective, customer-focused solutions.
• Ensure all shipments are billed accurately, completely, and within required timelines.
• Review transportation costs and supporting documentation to ensure proper invoicing.
• Handle customer inquiries, escalations, and claims professionally and efficiently.
• Coordinate closely with customs brokerage, transportation, warehouse, and commercial teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely data entry within the operational systems.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing service quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.
