We're looking for a highly motivated and commercially driven Business Development Manager to accelerate the growth of Vodafone IoT in Portugal.

This is a true hunter role for someone who thrives on identifying new business opportunities, opening doors at senior executive level, and building long-term customer relationships.

You'll engage with CEOs, COOs, CIOs, CTOs and business leaders, helping them solve complex operational challenges through Vodafone's Global Managed IoT Connectivity solutions.

Whether enabling utilities to remotely manage smart meters, helping manufacturers connect industrial equipment, supporting logistics companies with global asset tracking, or powering connected products sold worldwide, you'll play a key role in helping customers transform their businesses through connectivity.

What you’ll do

  • Drive new business acquisition and accelerate IoT revenue growth across key industry sectors;
  • Build and execute go-to-market strategies targeting enterprise customers with national and international IoT requirements;
  • Develop trusted relationships with C-level executives and senior business stakeholders;
  • Identify customer challenges and translate them into innovative IoT and connectivity solutions;
  • Prospect, qualify and develop new sales opportunities through direct engagement and partner ecosystems;
  • Lead complex consultative sales cycles involving business, technical, commercial, and regulatory stakeholders;
  • Collaborate with Vodafone's global IoT, pre-sales, product, and delivery teams to design compelling customer propositions;
  • Monitor industry trends, digital transformation initiatives, and regulatory developments to identify emerging IoT opportunities;
  • Prepare and present business cases, proposals, RFIs, RFQs and commercial offers;
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and contribute to Vodafone IoT's growth strategy;
  • Prepare in articulation with VDF IoT Technical, Pricing, Commercial, Regulatory & Legal teams, Pricing Proposals, RFQ’s and RFI’s and interact with VDF - PT Account Managers.

Who you are

  • Proven success in hunting and acquiring new enterprise customers within technology, telecoms, cloud, software, digital transformation, or IoT environments;
  • Strong consultative sales background with the ability to challenge, influence, and advise senior decision-makers;
  • Demonstrated experience engaging and negotiating with C-level stakeholders;
  • Commercially driven, resilient, and highly motivated to exceed ambitious sales targets;
  • Strong network within the Portuguese enterprise market;
  • Experience managing complex and multi-stakeholder sales opportunities;
  • Ability to understand business challenges and translate them into technology-led solutions;
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for creating opportunities and opening new markets;
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills;
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English.
