Customer & Supplier Billing Executive

Function:

Location: Edinburgh (St Andrew’s Square) – Hybrid working
Salary: £26,112 base depending on experience & full benefits listed below.

Contract: Permanent

Closing date: Monday 9th November 2026. Please note, that we may close vacancies early when we receive significant numbers of applications, so don’t delay!

Did you know that HEINEKEN own over 2,400 pubs in the UK? HEINEKEN has a long-held belief that pubs are an integral part of British culture and that well-invested pubs, run by skilled operators can prosper and thrive. As the nation’s leading pub, cider and beer company and the name behind a host of brilliant brands, we’re looking for equally brilliant people to help us on our journey to building a better future.

Part of building a better future is supporting our lessees, ensuring they have the right tools to build their businesses and play an important part in their thriving communities. This would be impossible without gold-star colleagues who care about people, account management and everything we stand for.

There’s so much more to HEINEKEN than meets the eye and right now, we’re looking for a Customer & Supplier Billing Executive to join our Star Pubs team!

About the Team
Our Star Pubs Central Operations team works with colleagues across Finance, Property, Supplier Management and the wider business to support our pubs and licensees.

The Customer & Supplier Billing team looks after customer accounts, supplier invoices and payments, making sure the numbers are right and Star Pubs reclaims the money it's owed by suppliers and local authorities. The team works closely with Supplier Management to sort out queries, keep things moving and find ways to make processes work better.

About the Role
Reporting to the Customer & Supplier Billing Team Lead, you'll provide administrative support across customer accounts, billing and supplier costs, helping make sure invoices, charges and reclaims are accurate and processed correctly.

You'll work with colleagues across Operations and Finance, as well as external suppliers and local authorities, to resolve queries, investigate discrepancies and keep information up to date. You'll also manage team mailboxes, raise purchase orders, support payments and help maintain the records and processes that keep the team running smoothly.

So, what will you be doing? Here are some key accountabilities:

  • Billing and accounts: Use our systems to maintain customer account information and administer charges, making sure details are correct and up to date.
  • Invoices and reclaims: Check and validate invoices received from local councils, premises licensing authorities, water suppliers and other service providers.
  • Data accuracy: Keep records accurate and up to date, paying close attention to the details.
  • Purchase orders and payments: Raise purchase orders, support payment processes and help with Supplier billing related queries.
  • Team mailboxes and queries: Manage incoming requests and respond within agreed timescales, providing helpful and timely support.
  • Working with others: Build good working relationships with colleagues across Operations and Finance, suppliers and local authorities. Take part in regular meetings to share updates and help resolve issues.
  • Team administration: Support the day-to-day running of the team, including document storage, mail, printing and helping colleagues when needed.
  • Processes and controls: Keep working instructions and process maps up to date, follow company policies and data protection requirements, and look for ways to make processes simpler and more effective.

Who we're looking for
We're looking for someone who is organised, has a good eye for detail and can keep on top of a busy workload. You'll be comfortable communicating with different people, managing deadlines and getting to the bottom of queries when something doesn't look right.

You'll also bring:

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage a busy workload effectively.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with confidence dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive approach to resolving queries, keeping information accurate and following things through.
  • The ability to listen, adapt to changing priorities and seek support when needed.

You'll need to complete the required Pubs Code training and keep up to date with mandatory learning and internal communications.

If you're organised, enjoy working with people and take pride in getting the details right, this could be a great opportunity to build your experience and develop your career within Star Pubs.

We embrace learning and growth, and we anticipate there is scope to develop in this role. You’re also likely to bring experiences to this role that are not listed above – as long as you have a thirst for learning and development, not every box needs to be ticked regarding skillsets.

Our Benefits
As part of the team, along with your salary, you’ll also receive;

  • An annual bonus
  • Company funded Private Medical Healthcare
  • Double matched pension (up to 10%)
  • 35 days holiday
  • A monthly case of our delicious ciders and beers! (low and no alcohol options available)
  • Comprehensive Opportunities to develop- We've just launched our Star Skills Playbook which has a comprehensive development programme for every role in Star Pubs so the world is your oyster once you join!

You’ll also get the opportunity to get involved with one of our colleague networks where groups of colleagues from all over the business work together to ensure we’re always working towards being a diverse and inclusive company.

The Application
If you like what you’ve read and want to explore this opportunity further, please apply as soon as possible. We may close vacancies early when we receive significant numbers of applications, so don’t delay!

Our office sites operate a hybrid model. You’ll spend Tuesdays, Thursdays and one other day in the office and two days from home, although but you’re more than welcome to come and work from the office on those days too.
