Recruitment Specialist (Part-time - Fixed Term Contract)

Job Description

This is a part time (21 hours per week), 2 year Fixed Term Contract role.

Reporting to the People & Inclusion Manager, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end recruitment across FSCS and will apply your knowledge and expertise to engage and attract the best talent in the market. You will identify, create, and implement recruitment strategies and undertake a range of attraction, sourcing, and talent pooling activities to build the FSCS employer brand and attract talent to the Scheme.

You will be obsessed with providing an awesome candidate, hiring manager and recruiter experience; create interesting and engaging role marketing content and act as a subject matter expert, providing best practice advice, market knowledge and support in the sourcing of great talent.

My Role

In leading the resourcing of great talent into the organisation, you will:

  • Provide an effective business partnering service, providing leadership, coaching support, and guidance, acting as a ‘Trusted Advisor’ to the business on recruitment and talent management
  • Lead on the recruitment process across FSCS ensuring all managers are supported to recruit high quality individuals in line with pay policy
  • Work with the Chief People Officer, Head of People and People & Inclusion Manager to ensure our unique culture is central to all resourcing related activities
  • Work closely with the Employee Experience team to enhance FSCS brand awareness through creating a compelling online presence, engaging with external parties to support brand building and candidate attraction, alongside engaging with relevant sector, industry, and professional bodies to promote FSCS career opportunities.
  • Work closely with our Communications Team to promote FSCS as an employer of choice, thinking creatively about how to target a diverse pool of candidates.
  • Be passionate about Equity, Diversity and Inclusion and deliver a resourcing service to the business that truly lives and breathes our values
  • Ensure that all resourcing activity, roles, and candidates are effectively logged and tracked on the recruitment module, that all core processes are followed, and that required documentation is produced and processed via the joiners, movers, leavers process
  • Oversee onboarding with the input from the People team, L&D and Employee Experience team to ensure new colleagues feel welcomed and engaged with the organisation, the culture, their team, and priorities from the beginning
  • Manage the exit interview process to gain insight, drive positive change and ensure we stive for continuous improvement in our people practices
