THE ROLEOur global activity is growing and we're looking for a Fulfilment Automation Designer with expertise in automation and footwear industry for our team in Porto. We are a project-based activity team, focused on developing logistic solutions for the different needs of the business. Our Partners are multi-brand premium Boutiques or Brands, with one or more locations in the most exciting cities around the world. You'll be responsible to define and implement the best automation solution in our logistic network.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead the team in the field of fulfilment automation:
  • Identify opportunities to apply automation into our fulfilment centers;
  • Connect with suppliers of automation solutions;
  • Quantify cost / saving of each solution, with clear ROI analysis;
  • Create an implementation plan and prepare the business case for approval;
  • Manage the implementation of automation solution;
  • Research in the market for the most updated solutions in the field of automation and robotics;
  • Participate in exhibitions and conferences about the topic;
  • Be a continuous improvement agent, feeding our internal practice with the learnings from your field experience and with research in the fields of expertise required;

WHO YOU ARE

  • 5+ years' experience in Operations, Supply Chain, E-commerce or similar;
  • 3+ years of experience in footwear industry (nice to have)
  • Proven expertise in the implementation of automated solutions in fashion industry, focusing in footwear;
  • Degree/Masters educated, preferably in the fields of Industrial/Mechanical Engineering, Business Management or similar;
  • Willing to make the difference but humble to learn (open and fresh mind)
  • Knowledgeable in Lean or related continuous improvement tools and techniques;
  • Fluent in English;
  • Available to travel up to 30% of your time, visiting Farfetch network offices;
