Our teams work on the end-to-end product lifecycle; from understanding the motivations and needs of our customers and partners, to designing and testing hypotheses, to creating industry-leading experiences for luxury shoppers, sellers and service providers. We set our Product vision and achieve our strategy in close partnership with teams across the business.
THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced design-leader who can help develop multi-year product strategy and organisational design for broad areas of Farfetch's B2B experience. As a Design Manager, you oversee the quality of the output of your team, ensuring solutions meet expectations. You are someone who can help teams break down complexity and provide clear context and direction for their work. You create links between teams and their work and preempt where collaboration will be required. You have experience forming and leading a team, and can show how you have mentored and managed others.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Reporting to the Head of Product Design, you will motivate and inspire your team to build impactful products that people love
- You will guide your team to develop an experience vision for your users, working with peers in Product Management and Engineering
- You will line manage other designers, developing and mentoring them to maximise potential and facilitate growth.
- You will plan and grow the team inline with product and engineering to best meet business and product needs and create an environment which nurtures and retains design talent
WHO YOU ARE
- You have experience leading teams working on enterprise-level applications. You can find simplicity out of complexity
- You have experience working with global teams, and understand how to create products that address user needs and behaviours
- You have excellent collaboration skills, and can constructively direct and inspire action within your team
- You have a talent for breaking down complexity and creating context for others
- You are an expert in bringing a lean, evidence-based approach to product development teams
- You can advocate for your discipline across a wider enterprise company
