CONTENT DEVELOPMENTWe are a diverse, dynamic, global team of content creators, dedicated to communicating the FARFETCH message to our customers. From copy and imagery to size & fit solutions and localisation, the Content Development umbrella manages end-to-end content and asset creation, creating a unique luxury experience, found only on FARFETCH.

THE ROLE As Localisation Lead - French, you will lead a team of French Content Writers and Sub-Editors (internal and external) delivering localised content for the FARFETCH Group, with particular focus on the group’s operational excellence and quality output. You will own all people-related responsibilities including hiring, development, retention and performance reviews. You will follow a tenant-agnostic approach for content localisation, including the operational responsibilities of the www.farfetch.com, Browns and FPS tenants.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • You will lead the localisation operations for the French language, with particular focus on linguistics and quality.
  • You will be responsible for the people development and career paths of your team, and their overall professional development within FARFETCH.
  • You will lead a team responsible for the successful delivery of language and content management services to all the FARFETCH Group tenants, including marketing copy, product information copy, UX copy, operational copy, e-learning & comms copy, as well as processes to optimise it for search engines where relevant.
  • You will lead a team of writers and sub-editors to successfully deliver the localisation services strategy and other business initiatives that require localisation services into French.
  • You will support overall capacity planning, making sure your team has the necessary resources to deliver the required projects and initiatives in a timely manner.
  • You will work closely with the Localisation Solutions team and the Project Management team to improve workflows, processes and other operational areas by providing feedback, and supporting in the implementation.
  • You will contribute actively with ideas to the French localisation strategies outlined by the Localisation Manager - Europe.
  • You will work closely with external stakeholders to understand their needs and feedback into the localisation services verticals to help build resources and solutions to meet the local needs and the French language.

WHO YOU ARE

  • 1 year of proven experience managing a team of linguists, investing in their growth and development, and inspiring those around you to achieve their potential.
  • Fluent French speaker with impeccable attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge of French-speaking markets.
  • UX, SEO and MKT experience is highly preferred.
  • Proven project management experience, with a good track record of leading programs and/or projects with a high level of complexity. You are a self-starter and come up with simple yet effective solutions.
  • Good internal and external stakeholder management.

NON-ESSENTIAL BUT DESIRABLE

  • You are comfortable with digital work on an in-house CMS.
  • You have experience within the luxury fashion industry, in e-commerce, editorial magazines, or blogs.
  • You have experience with Term-Management and CAT tools.
  • You have experience working on localisation projects for e-commerce websites, preferably luxury fashion retail.
