LONDONOur London office is located in Old Street, London’s tech hub, and is home to a broad range of teams including Commercial, Marketing, and Product. Our open plan space is ideal for collaborative working and sharing ideas, or you can enjoy some quiet time in our dedicated library. We also have a large outdoor terrace which is the perfect spot to have a team lunch or host events.
THE ROLE This is an exciting time for the Events team, as we shape the function and really prepare ourselves for a dynamic year of global and local events that support the Only on FARFETCH brand positioning as well as supporting other functions on delivering their strategies and objectives. The whole business is aligning its multi-channel communications strategy on a global level, and the events function is pivotal to achieving this.
This role will be multi-faceted and varied, encompassing research, creative ideation, curation, and the production of events. You will help support the Senior Head of Events working cross-functionally to influence and drive the Events landscape for the business.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Develop and manage seasonal events, cultural activations or business priority events that build brand awareness in line with key moments in the marketing calendar. You will be responsible for managing both external production agencies and all internal stakeholders to deliver Only on FARFETCH events in line with business objectives
  • Produce events on behalf of our internal teams including but not limited to Influencer, Private Client, FARFETCH Platform Solutions and Media Solutions undertaking all technical and production elements of the event and/or gifting directly coordinating suppliers and working cross functionally with all marketing departments to ensure delivery of a seamless 360 campaign message
  • Ensure that all projects are completed on time and on budget and that expectations are met and supported with a washup report of event
  • Lead, manage and develop an Events Producer
  • When we’re not in production mode, create opportunities, research the cultural landscape, suggest ideas, update key guideline documents and research event suppliers to ensure our black book is updated with fresh industry contacts
  • Guide and assist with events best practice for other internal functions and global territories to ensure that the event guidelines are being adhered to

WHO ARE YOU

  • Event production expert with a strong understanding of the luxury space, online retail landscape and/or the fashion and beauty industry - agency and global experience is desired
  • You are inspired by innovation, thrive in a fast-moving evolving business and entrepreneurial environment, with competing deadlines and shifting priorities
  • You have your finger on the cultural pulse, with a natural interest in diverse new trends, openings and cultural movements, searching for new ways to shape the future
  • Good at ideation, driven to resolve problems with empathy and are passionate about doing things that have never been done
  • You have a positive and curious mindset, are highly organised, across the detail with exceptional planning capabilities and a hands-on approach
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to influence your peers cross-functionally, take them on a journey to work out how best to work collaboratively together to deliver a successful event and flex your communication style as needed
  • Self-driven with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team fostering positive actions of those around you and celebrate shared achievements
  • Good written skills with an ability to write creatively and with a fine attention-to-detail
  • You will be able to create and manage budgets
  • You act in an autonomous way, handling nearly all routine and non-routine activities and problems, with limited guidance or revision at completion
  • You will be comfortable with ambiguity and won’t let it stop you from going that extra mile

The FARFETCH Events team is looking for an Events Manager to help build brand love and awareness in the luxury fashion and beauty industry via both in real life and virtual events. The role will suit someone who is passionate about luxury fashion and beauty, with solid events production experience, impeccable attention to detail and motivated to do what’s never been done.
