Job Overview:
The role involves supporting the tax service line by advising a diverse range of clients on tax matters related to Jersey and the UK. This includes both tax compliance and tax advisory services for private clients and corporate clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering Jesey and UK compliance and advisory services to a mixed portfolio of clients
- Ensuring adherence to all filing deadlines.
- Assisting and supervising junior staff in the preparation of tax returns and related tasks.
- Collaborating with the audit service line on tax audits.
Qualifications & Certifications:
- Currently pursuing an accountancy or tax qualification, or
- Possessing an existing accountancy or tax qualification.
Required Skills & Experience:
Essential Skills:
- Experience in a tax compliance position.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as the role involves interaction with a diverse range of individuals at various levels of seniority.
- Good risk awareness and the ability to think and act strategically.
- Proficient IT skills, including familiarity with financial systems.
- Exceptional organizational abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks while remaining resilient under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
