The opportunity

The Strategy Execution Lead is responsible for driving and delivering consistent Clients & Industries strategy execution activities to facilitate the efficient functioning of the Clients & Industries organization. This role ensures that our people are empowered to relentlessly focus on winning in the market and delivering exceptional client service. Reporting to the Pursuits & Commercial Excellence Leader, the position will be aligned to one or a portfolio of highly complex programs or functions.

On a day-to-day basis, the Strategy Execution Lead will act as the primary point of contact for their assigned program or function(s) and will work closely with respective leaders across the Clients & Industries organization. Collaboration across Clients & Industries is essential to execute the program/function(s) strategy effectively, and the lead will be responsible for liaising with key stakeholder groups to collectively drive the function’s strategic priorities and growth plans.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Strategy Execution Lead will focus on driving their respective function(s) towards its ambition and executing on its priorities. This includes leading and providing oversight for the development and implementation of the programs/function(s) strategy, as well as managing internal communications, messaging, and content development. The role will also involve close collaboration with the Operations team on planning, resourcing strategies, cost management, and process improvement related to strategy execution activities.

Your key responsibilities

  • Orchestrate, shape, and deliver the function(s) strategy alongside the function(s) Leader and leadership network
  • Collaborate with function(s) leadership to co-develop strategic planning and insights
  • Provide insight and strategic guidance regarding Clients & Industries management information and overall business performance analysis
  • Articulate and implement the function(s) leadership model to activate strategy and drive proactive client conversations
  • Collaborate with regions to identify areas for applying Clients & Industries initiatives to increase pipeline and revenue streams
  • Develop internal/external awareness and activation campaigns and executing strategic events
  • Maintain close relationships with regions and support program/function leaders in shaping and executing key meeting agendas

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities

  • Apply in-depth knowledge of the business, resources, leveraging relationships, communications and operational effectiveness to drive and deliver complex projects and initiatives
  • Manage highly complex relationships with multiple stakeholders often with competing priorities
  • Apply specialized operational knowledge in developing and implementing change strategies, programs and processes
  • Make decisions regarding project resources, funding needs, spend and procurement approvals
  • Anticipate business needs and proactively provide innovative ideas and solutions
  • Evaluate activities, efforts, requests against agreed strategy and plan as well as EY policies
  • Co-develop and implement operational strategies which impact organizational and employee effectiveness
  • Assess and prioritize financial requests against limited/set budgets

Skills and attributes for success

  • Strong understanding of EY’s organizational structure, NextWave strategy, and go-to-market strategy
  • Ability to execute across the entire EY organization
  • Strong leadership experience and presence with existing relationships with key stakeholders
  • Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills to build relationships with Global, Area, and regional leadership teams
  • Highly versatile and adaptable, capable of managing change and stakeholder networks
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously through effective prioritization and project management
  • Excellent written, oral, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Proven track record in driving profitable growth agendas and leading high-performing teams

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent qualification required
  • 12+ years current experience with EY or Global Professional Services firm track record

Other geographies will follow their local salary guidelines, which may not be a direct conversion of published US salary ranges.   • We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job is:
    • New York City, Boston, and Washington DC Metro Areas, Washington State, and Southern California offices – $231,400 to $416,600
    • Bay Area California offices – $241,400 to $433,900
    • All other offices locations in the US, including Sacramento – $192,900 to $381,900
  • Individual salaries within these ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
  • Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
