Reporting into the Talent Solutions Director, the successful applicant will spearhead the Global deployment of SmartRecruiters technology underpinned by a new Operating Model and processes.

This work will help redefine how EY delivers its Talent Attraction and Acquisition capabilities globally in hiring over 100,000 people annually, shaping the workforce of the future and super-charging EY’s brand in the marketplace. This role is accountable for driving a complex, enterprise‑wide transformation program—shaping strategic direction, aligning global stakeholders, and ensuring successful execution of the SmartRecruiters deployment roadmap across regions and service lines, whilst considering the wider Talent technology ecosystem roadmap.

You will partner closely with senior EY stakeholders across Talent, Technology, Risk, and Operations to design and deliver a future‑state recruiting ecosystem enabled by SmartRecruiters. You will guide EY through significant change, overseeing end‑to‑end program delivery while enabling meaningful shifts in processes, governance, technology adoption, and recruiter, hiring manager, and candidate experience.

This role offers the opportunity to lead a high‑visibility global initiative, solve complex organizational and operational challenges, and deliver transformative outcomes that influence how Talent Acquisition operates at EY on a global scale.

Your key responsibilities

  • Serve as the Program Director and primary point of contact for the EY global SmartRecruiters deployment, empowered to make day‑to‑day program decisions and represent EY’s interests throughout the implementation.
  • Partner closely with the SmartRecruiters Project Manager and Implementation Consultants to ensure alignment on scope, timelines, risks, dependencies, and overall delivery strategy.
  • Lead and coordinate the program team and EY resources, including global and regional Talent teams, Technology, and core project members, to support smooth execution and on‑time delivery of key milestones.
  • Develop strong partnerships with senior stakeholders across Talent Attraction and Acquisition, Talent, Talent Solutions Delivery.
  • Gain and apply deep knowledge of EY’s operating model, Talent Acquisition processes, and global governance to anticipate risks, resolve issues, and enable effective decision‑making.
  • Build an understanding for and become an ambassador for how the SmartRecruiters deployment supports the Talent Attraction and Acquisition strategy.
  • Establish and maintain strong program governance, including executive steering forums, status reporting, risk and issue management, and escalation pathways.
  • Facilitate clear, consistent communication across EY stakeholder groups, ensuring transparency, alignment, and timely escalation of decisions or concerns.
  • Lead and support change management and adoption activities, ensuring EY teams are prepared for new SmartRecruiters‑enabled recruiting processes, capabilities, and ways of working.
  • Oversee EY readiness for critical deployment phases, including configuration validation, testing, training, cutover, and go‑live.
  • Track program progress, dependencies, and outcomes to ensure the SmartRecruiters deployment delivers against EY’s Talent Attraction and Acquisition’s strategic objectives and business value expectations.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Proven track record leading HR technology implementations across large, multinational organizations. SmartRecruiters experience is preferable.
  • Strong background in program and portfolio management, with demonstrated success delivering large‑scale, global Talent Acquisition or HR technology transformation initiatives.
  • An effective communicator with a wide range of stakeholders, translating complex program information into clear, compelling messages for executive, technical, and operational audiences.
  • An impactful influencer and negotiator, building trust and alignment across diverse stakeholder groups, navigating competing priorities, and driving timely decisions in a complex, matrixed environment.
  • Demonstrates a strong ability to drive outcomes, maintaining momentum and accountability while managing risk, dependencies, and ambiguity across a global program.
  • Strong understanding of Talent Acquisition processes and HR technology ecosystems, including process standardization, governance, and adoption.
