This is an exciting opportunity to join and help grow a fast-growing managed service team within EY. Reporting to the Senior Payroll Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the successful transition of payroll services for new clients. Payroll Services are a key area of growth within EY’s People Advisory Services (PAS).

You will be assisting with the implementation of new payroll services to clients across UK&I. You will need to manage stakeholders and build positive relationships across the firm to ensure payroll services are delivered on time and to budget.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Providing technical subject matter expertise by engaging with the key client stakeholders to understand business requirements, identify setup requirements and manage the successful implementation of services.
  • Managing and executing data migration activities to ensure the client data is imported, validated and signed off by the client prior to go-live
  • Leading on all Parallel Run activities and find solutions for any differences to ensure a balanced outcome.
  • Based on business experience and knowledge, making best practice recommendations to the client to improve processes and streamline the delivery of payroll services.
  • Ensuring team compliance with the firm’s cash handling requirements
  • Understanding and complying with of Quality and Risk requirements for professional service firms

Skills and Attributes For Success

What We Look For

  • Good understanding of payroll compliance including AE, RTI, Apprenticeship Levy
  • Experience of managing a team of both direct and indirect reports
  • Good IT skills including experience of working with excel, visio and project
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication and presentation skills
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good workload management skills and an ability to work to deadlines
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities and balancing competing priorities

To Qualify for this role, you must have;

  • Experience with executing customer-facing implementation or product delivery projects
  • Ability to consult and collaborate cross-functionally with other departments
  • Ability to handle increasingly high volume of work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment in a calm manner
  • Experience in implementing payrolls using iTrent
  • Understanding of financial service regulatory processes such as know your client and anti-money laundering

Ideally, you will also possess:

  • Payroll qualifications – (CIPP), are not essential but strongly preferred
  • PRINCE2 or other project management qualifications
  • Undertaking in depth reviews of the work carried out by the Transition team to ensure it is carried out in accordance to EY Process and Policy
