AI Manager – Health Sector Focus

EY is experiencing an increasing demand for its Health consulting expertise. We are seeking to expand our team of skilled and experienced Managers who are already delivering impact and value for our health clients across the UK or Ireland. As an AI Manager within our Health Practice, you will lead the design and delivery of AI-driven transformation in health and care services. You will partner with health sector clients to harness advanced analytics, intelligent automation, and data-driven insights to solve complex healthcare challenges and drive sustainable improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead consulting projects in the healthcare sector, focusing on the application of AI, automation, and advanced analytics to improve productivity, enable digital transformation, and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their healthcare-specific needs and develop tailored AI solutions that address operational, clinical, and strategic challenges.
  • Design, build, and deploy AI and automations.
  • Analyse healthcare systems, policies, and data to identify opportunities for AI-driven innovation and improvement.
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagements to gather insights, drive consensus, and ensure successful adoption of AI solutions.
  • Mentor and develop junior consultants, fostering AI and data literacy within the health sector team.
  • Stay abreast of healthcare industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging AI technologies to inform consulting strategies and recommendations.
  • Contribute to business development and solution design for health sector clients, supporting bids and proposals with AI expertise.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience delivering AI, automation, or data analytics projects within the healthcare sector (in particular the NHS).
  • Strong understanding of UK (in particular NHS) healthcare systems, policies, and operational challenges, with the ability to translate these into AI-enabled solutions.
  • Proficiency in AI and automation tools (e.g., Blue Prism, UiPath, Knime, Alteryx) and data analysis methodologies.
  • Experience with clinical standards such as SNOMED, LOINC and OMOP (desirable)
  • Knowledge of clinical integration technologies such as FHIR, HL7. (desirable)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience managing projects and teams, delivering results for health sector clients.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships with healthcare clients and stakeholders.
