We are expanding our Energy and Infrastructure Corporate Finance M&A team in London and are looking for exceptional professionals to join us. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an innovative, award-winning team with a 20+ year heritage, regularly closing high profile cross-border sell-side, buy-side and finance raising transactions, supporting a range of clients from high growth businesses to listed funds.

Recent achievements:

    • Advised GLIL on the acquisition of a portfolio of Solar PV and Battery projects from Bluefield
    • Advised TRIG on the disposal of an onshore wind portfolio to Atlantica Sustainable Infrastructure plc
    • Advised TAQA Transmission on the acquisition of Transmission Investment
    • Advised Diamond Transmission Partners in relation to £3.7bn of offshore transmission acquisitions and project financings including Hornsea One and Hornsea Two
    • Advised RDC Partners on the disposal of Cumberhead Wind Farm to ORIT

Your key responsibilities

  • Support in the preparation of transaction marketing materials and other client deliverables
  • Financial modelling and valuation analysis / calculation using market practice methodology, including undertaking sensitivity/scenario analysis and analysis of financial data
  • Deal management and management of key stakeholders on projects, including other advisors
  • Commercial and financial advice on key contracts forming part of the transaction, and negotiation with project stakeholders
  • Support in the development and maintenance of client relationships, including pitch/proposal preparation, presentation to clients, origination and marketing initiatives, and account pursuit

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Specific interst in the energy and infrastructure sectors and specifically the energy transition
  • High degree of personal drive and motivation to enhance your own knowledge and succeed
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; highly competent in Microsoft Office
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills (financial modelling capability is favoured)
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with individuals, organisations, and clients, while working under pressure, across multiple projects and to tight deadlines

Ideally, you’ll also have (nice to haves)

  • Prior experience of working in and/or a passion/interest in M&A and corporate finance
  • Commitment to business development and ability to identify opportunities to deliver the best value
  • Advanced professional financial qualification (e.g. ACA, CFA, MBA)
