The opportunity

This role is a key member of the Global Industry Communications & Engagement team, focusing on development and delivery of internal communications programs that supports EY’s Global Industry and Sector business priorities and engages our global Sector communities.

You will act as a business partner to EY Industry and Sector leaders to implement communications strategies and support regional activation efforts. You will also oversee the Industry editorial calendar and create content for a variety of channels, including (but not limited to) emails, intranet articles, webcasts, videos and internal communications toolkits.

The role will collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to understand business priorities and initiatives and gather content, and to translate business materials into compelling communications that engages our target audiences.

The Assistant Director will work closely with the Global Delivery Services (GDS) Industry Communications & Engagement team, overseeing effective channel maintenance and performance reporting.

You will be expected to work in an agile manager, supporting individual projects in across Industry groups when required, or identifying where a communications deliverable can be deployed across multiple Industry Markets.

Your key responsibilities

1.Industry/Sector Communications support

  • Develop and implement internal communications plans that support Global Industry and Sector initiatives.

2.Internal Content Creation:

  • Translate business strategies and programs into clear, high-quality and engaging internal communications content.
  • Write and edit content including leadership messages, scripts, articles newsletters and FAQs.

3.Campaign Delivery:

  • Develop and deliver internal communication campaigns that support Industry and Sector initiatives and regional activation.
  • Manage messaging across channels, such as email, Viva Engage, intranet, video and webcasts.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

4.Toolkits and Resources:

  • Develop internal communication toolkits and resources to support regional teams in executing communication strategies.
  • Ensure that all materials adhere to EY's internal branding and messaging guidelines.

5.Collaboration:

  • Build strong relationships with the Global Industry and Sector leaders and their teams to create communications aligned with business priorities
  • Build and maintain relationships with regional counterparts to ensure effective internal communication and collaboration.
  • Build a network of EY Communications & Engagement practitioners and leverage the relationships to amplify Industry content across Region, Service Line, and functional channels.

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • The knowledge, skills and abilities needed to establish and refine communication strategies that drive engagement, as well as organizational performance and add value to the business
  • The ability to provide strategic communications counsel as well as the identification of newsworthy angles and messaging that brings stories to life for EY’s diverse audiences – engaging all internal audiences including leadership, sector audiences, account teams, and people across EY
  • The ability to manage competing stakeholder requests and prioritize projects.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Substantial brand, marketing and communications experience in a world-class global organization
  • Experience delivering markets communications and engagement programs within a people organization with proven and demonstrable results
  • History of developing business content to a publishable standard
  • Proven ability to influence and build collaborative relationships with senior-level stakeholders

What we look for

We are looking for an experienced, resilient team player with strong stakeholder management skills and good business acumen who is comfortable with working in an agile manner, supporting multiple stakeholders. You will be a change agent, driving innovation in communication practices and are hands-on, responsive with excellent writing and publishing skills. You will have experience in developing and deploying communications plan that employ a mix of media, such as video, infographics, and podcasts.

Success in this role will be through the delivery of comprehensive, world-class internal communications and engagement programs that deliver sustainable, measurable results. Success will be measured through program usage, EY’s global people survey and pulse check and the global brand survey.

The compensation ranges below are provided in order to comply with United States pay transparency laws. Other geographies will follow their local salary guidelines, which may not be a direct conversion of published US salary ranges.   • We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $99,300 to $185,600. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $119,100 to $210,900. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
  • Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
  • Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
