Job Description
We have a new vacancy at Emerald Publishing! A fantastic opportunity for a Marketing Lead – Product & Services to join us and play a key role in both our Product and Marketing teams. This role is a player manager with responsibility for their own portfolio, line management of Marketing Managers and a Marketing Executive, as well as overall accountability of the delivery of the Product & Services Marketing Strategy. This role is responsible for the strategic development, implementation and analysis of marketing activities for Emerald’s Product & Services suite.
Day to day we’ll trust you to:
- Develop and communicate overall marketing strategy for our Product and Services Marketing, utilising the best strategies to achieve results and delivery of our Emerald strategy.
- Manage, lead and motivate a marketing team, ensuring delivery of KPIs and appropriate ROI on activities
- work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders across content acquisition, sales, product management and the wider marketing community of practice to ensure there is buy in to future marketing campaigns and resources are maximised
- Target market segments with integrated marketing campaigns to generate demand and convert into leads. Measure and report on the performance of campaigns
- Create a variety of content, own the appropriate social media channels for your area and ensure appropriate content is deployed, either directly or indirectly through the team.
- Own the marketing budget for the area and guide the effective deployment of the budget to maximise ROI.
You’ll need to have:
- Previous experience as a marketing manager, ideally in a related industry; publishing or academic experience is highly desirable.
- Experience of leading and motivating a team
- Advanced knowledge of marketing strategies, with the ability to create a marketing plan that builds awareness and drives leads.
- Proven experience in identifying target audiences and in creatively devising and leading across channels marketing campaigns that engage, educate and motivate
- The ability to translate strategy into actions and key deliverables, encouraging collaborative working in a matrixed environment.

What kind of team you will be joining: This is a new role which reports into the Product Director with a dotted line into the Head of Strategic Marketing, the chapter lead for strategic marketing activities.
