Job Description

About the team:

The Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team's core mission is to help Deliveroo make more effective decisions. We aim to build long term company value, and we achieve this by setting company strategy, facilitating world-class execution, understanding and sharing the drivers of our business, delivering accurate financial results, all while managing risks and keeping an eye out for opportunities. Finally, it's critical that we continually foster and evolve a team culture to allow for each team member to thrive and grow. This is a 6-month opportunity to join the FP&A team and play a key role in shaping financial insights and strategic decisions at Deliveroo..

What you’ll do:

  • Reporting: (i) Driving/owning several aspects of management reporting, including monthly Exec reporting, making sure that there is alignment and consistency in outputs and conclusions (ii) Continuous drive to improve quality of management reporting (iii) ensuring data accuracy through our financial systems

  • DoorDash integration: Supporting our financial integration with our new parent company, DoorDash. Supporting analysis, translation and reconciliation of our data and metrics as we transition into the wider Group.

  • Analysis: Providing proactive, insightful, high quality analysis to support decision making, in the context of wider business implications, which can be translated into comprehensive materials/commentary for senior stakeholders

  • Business partnering: Working with other teams across the Finance function to both ensure consistency of reporting but also incorporate knowledge from finance specialists with the intent of knowing the numbers and what they represent. Bridging between the FinRep and F&S teams, promoting clarity over accounting entries and the resulting impact

Requirements :

  • Always curious and willing to learn new skills - you don’t need to know everything but show a desire to learn and upskill on the job

  • A problem solver and a critical thinker, with a deep analytical mindset and a strong attention to detail

  • Capable of thinking outside of the box and of using all the tools at your disposal to tackle and juggle between problems across multiple departments and scales

  • Comfortable in working with tight deadlines, contributing to the fast-paced, high impact and dynamic environment of Deliveroo.

  • Good listener and communicator ability to ask the right questions, understand the information received, and convey it to others is essential

  • Experience in an analytical, strategic or commercial role

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA)

  • Advanced GSheet/Excel skills

  • Can demonstrate confidence with numbers and data modelling
