The Team

Deliveroo for Work (DfW) is on a mission to deliver amazing food experiences at the workplace, offering an allowance-based food solution for all work occasions. You'll lead the Corporate Commercial Italian Team for Deliveroo for Work, reporting to the Head of Deliveroo for Work for Europe. You’ll also work very closely with the French and Belgium teams who are part of the EU team.

This is an excellent role for someone who enjoys working on a commercial strategy, managing a small team and drawing insights from data to guide growth. You will work under a hybrid work model with (at least) 3 days a week either in our Milan office.

The responsibilities of the Corporate Commercial Lead for Italy will include:

  • Leadership: working with cross-functional teams both within and outside of the DfW team to drive global collaboration and maximise growth. Role model best-in-class behaviours, supporting direct and indirect reports to deliver common goals. Work closely with the Business Development Managers to onboard new clients and with Account Managers to grow lasting relationships with accounts in Italy.

  • Line Management: line manage a team of 2 Account Managers and 2 Business Development Managers, building an inclusive and high-performing culture. Establish a performance management framework for the team.

  • Strategic vision: support EU DfW leadership in building the strategy across Deliveroo for Work, playing a key role in designing the global servicing strategy for the existing portfolio of clients.

  • Stakeholder Management: own the relationship between Product, Legal and Marketing teams to ensure requests are prioritised based on market needs and to ensure the seamless rollout of new features to your team’s portfolio.

  • Portfolio Management: while this role will not directly manage clients, you will be the point of escalation on all Italian accounts, owning renewals and driving growth through industry knowledge and data analysis. Your ability to extract data to define priorities and planning for the team will be crucial.

  • Cross-functional collaboration: own global projects and campaigns and supervise other team members when required to ensure smooth delivery within tight deadlines.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has a natural commercial mindset, excels at navigating and influencing C-suite stakeholders within professional services industries, and demonstrates strong analytical skills paired with a strong leadership. This position would be suited to someone enthusiastic about securing a Commercial Lead role in a huge growth area of the business.

  • A driven and hardworking individual

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial roles, ideally in a B2B environment

  • 2+ years of experience managing a team

  • A strong leader, able to influence internal and external stakeholders

  • Strong negotiator, able to structure large, complex deals

  • Data-driven and excellent planning - comfortable working with large data sets in both Looker and Excel

  • Experience working on a go-to-market strategy is a plus

  • Excellent attention to detail – proven ability to multitask in a work environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong presentation skills

  • Creative – exhibits tenacity, never takes no for an answer

  • Hunger to progress within a fast-paced startup environment

  • Entrepreneurial spirit

  • Technical Skills: experience with Salesforce is preferable

  • Fluency in Italian and English
