Job Description

This is a fixed-term (12 month contract) role to provide project management support on several projects run by the Governance and Legal Services (GLS) department at ClientEarth over the next 12 months.

The Governance and Legal Services (GLS) department is responsible for designing and implementing tailored processes that reflect the highest standards of governance, compliance, litigation, and ethics and that enable ClientEarth to deliver innovative legal strategies while managing risk in a manner consistent with its organisational values.

The post holder will be involved in a variety of projects, working collaboratively with staff across all ClientEarth offices. They will contribute project and change management and governance administration expertise and skills and advise on optimising internal process and procedures on department-level work planning, governance, effective decision-making, compliance reporting, and more.

Meet your Manager

In this role, you will be managed by Amy Rose, Global Director of Litigation, Governance and Legal Services. Amy joined ClientEarth in 2016 and is based in Luxembourg.

Amy manages ClientEarth's Governance and Legal Services Department, overseeing ClientEarth’s governance, risk and compliance, and managing its various related legal entities globally. This includes ensuring that ClientEarth company and staff comply with legal, professional, and ethical obligations, and supporting ClientEarth contracting and contractual compliance.

Amy specialises in strategic impact litigation and oversees the management of ClientEarth's diverse and growing litigation portfolio. She focuses on supporting our legal teams to bring a wide range of climate and environmental cases across Europe and around the world.

Main Duties

  • Improvements of internal performance and decision-making tools - Develop a system, likely using Viva Goals, for the capturing, monitoring, and reporting of progress against a set of internal performance indicators for the operations of the organisation, under the guidance of the GDLGLS and the Chief People & Operations officer;
  • Governance administration & Implementation and roll out of Governance system
  • Coordinate a review of governance procedures and ensure improvements are implemented in the governance system; Roll out of the Time Management System (TMS)
  • General project management support for the GLS department

  • Experience delivering projects from inception to completion, involving IT systems and change management initiatives
  • Experience of budget monitoring and forecasting
