In this new role, you’ll support the Responsible Business Director by leading Centrica’s Group approach to assess Social impacts, risks and opportunities (IRO), and set strategy to maximise the positive impact we create in society whilst ensuring Social disclosures comply with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
Salary: Competitive + bonus + car allowance + private healthcare + generous company benefits

Key Accountabilities
Develop, maintain and evolve the Group-wide double materiality impact assessment for Social issues in line with CSRD
Co-ordinate research and surveys with external stakeholders on ESG matters to support the double materiality process, sharing insights and learnings across the business
Work with third party on additional research requirements to support ESG strategy development
Work with the business, HR, Procurement and beyond, to identify and manage Social IROs that arise from the double materiality process and develop strategic action plans alongside metrics and targets to effectively manage them
Work with issue owners to review and enhance governance controls for material issues
Identify and support additional strategic Social impact projects that deliver positive impact for customers and communities whilst driving progress against targets
Provide expert insight into Group-wide policies and frameworks
Input into Social disclosures for investors and other key stakeholder groups as needed
Work Experience
Deep understanding of Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) issues and best practice around CSRD
Experience of stakeholder engagement, research and insights tracking
Track record of driving business change and positive social impact
Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Capability to project manage complex projects
Experience working with agencies and managing suppliers
