This role places ownership of trading performance at its core, combining intraday strategy execution with the development of more automated and data-driven approaches. About the Role

This role sits within a dynamic trading team focused on capturing value in European power markets from a global trading hub in Singapore. It offers a high degree of ownership, combining real-time decision-making with continuous development of trading strategies and tools. The position plays a key role in driving performance, innovation, and collaboration across trading, analytics, and technology functions.

In this role you will:

• Take full ownership of proprietary trading activities, optimising PnL within established risk and compliance frameworks

• Design and execute intraday and short-term trading strategies, adapting quickly to changing market conditions

• Develop a deep, real-time understanding of market drivers, including fundamentals, flows, and external influences

• Collaborate with IT and quantitative teams to advance algorithmic trading and automation capabilities

• Drive continuous improvement by identifying new market opportunities and enhancing trading and analytical processes

About You

The ideal candidate combines a strong quantitative background with proven experience in intraday power trading and a clear commercial mindset. Curiosity and accountability underpin a proactive approach to markets, while resilience enables consistent performance under pressure. A collaborative attitude and structured way of working support both individual success and team development.

The ideal candidate brings:

• MSc in Finance, Mathematics, Economics or a related quantitative field

• Demonstrated experience trading intraday power markets in European regions

• Strong understanding of financial markets, energy systems, and macroeconomic relationships

• Solid programming and analytical toolkit (e.g. Python, VBA, Excel, R, C++ or similar)

• High level of accuracy, strong prioritisation skills, and the ability to manage complex tasks while engaging effectively with stakeholders
