Camunda is the enterprise platform for agentic orchestration, enabling organizations to coordinate AI agents, people, and systems across complex, end-to-end business processes. With built-in governance, auditability, and human oversight, Camunda gives enterprises the control they need to move AI from pilots to production — safely and at scale. Trusted by over 700 organizations worldwide, including 9 of top 10 US banks, Camunda helps enterprises boost operational efficiency, accelerate time-to-value, and deliver better customer experiences.

Fully remote and global, we are in the middle of something bigger: transforming into an AI-first organisation, built on our own platform. We use Agentic AI to automate, orchestrate intelligent processes, and elevate human contribution across every team.

Named GP Bullhound’s Top 100 Next Unicorn list, 2025 Great Place to Work certified. Visionary in 2025 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Business Orchestration and Automation Technologies. ranked 3rd in Flexa's 2026 Most Flexible Companies, We’re growing fast and looking for top talent to join our team. If you want meaningful work, visible impact and put something genuinely rare on your CV, keep reading.

Why This Role Matters

As Camunda grows past the $100M ARR mark, we are building the marketing infrastructure to define and lead the Business Process Orchestration and Automation (BOAT) category. Our ability to tell a clear, compelling, and consistent story — across products, solutions, and personas — is critical to that mission.

This Director sits at the intersection of product and solution marketing: one part platform storyteller, one part GTM architect. Reporting to the VP of Solutions Marketing & Strategic Communications, you will own the narrative for key areas of the business, lead cross-functional execution, and mentor a portion of the team. This is not a pure IC role, and it is not a pure people manager role. It is both — and the balance will shift as the business scales. We are looking for a strong player/coach mentality with the experience to coach through that daily participation.

What You'll Be Doing

Own the Narrative

  • Serve as an outcomes-first minded storyteller for your product and/or solution areas. Translate complex platform capabilities into clear, differentiated value propositions that land with C-suite buyers, LOB leaders, and technical practitioners alike.

Lead the Solution or Product Marketing function

  • Own positioning, messaging, use cases, competitive intelligence for defined areas.

Drive Go-to-Market

  • Lead GTM strategy and execution launches in your area. Coordinate across sales, marketing, and product to ensure the message lands in the market — and sticks.

Arm the Field

  • Feed the enablement engine so our sales, system engineering, partner and customer success counterparts win: pitch decks, battle cards, demos, technical papers, solution briefs. Content that works in the room, not just on a slide.

Influence the Market

  • Support analyst relations strategy with Gartner and Forrester along with other social influencers. Ensure the firms that shape enterprise buying decisions understand what Camunda is, where we lead, and where we are headed.

Develop the Team

  • Manage and mentor your team. Set the standard for output quality, coach toward it, and build a culture where high standards and deep collaboration are the baseline — not the aspiration.

What You Bring

  • 10+ years in B2B enterprise software marketing, with at least 5 years in a senior individual contributor or people manager role spanning product marketing, solution marketing, or both.

  • Global experience evidenced by knowledge of how culture, communication and buying behaviors vary by region, enabling local Field & Partner teams with the right approach for them

  • A demonstrated track record of creating and marketing solutions that solve complex business problems — not just positioning product features.

  • Strong storytelling instincts and the ability to simplify highly technical concepts without losing precision or credibility.

  • Experience in a technical domain: automation, AI/ML, developer tools, integration (iPaaS), middleware, or adjacent spaces.

  • Proven ability to lead GTM execution and orchestrate successful launches in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.

  • Exceptional cross-functional skills — history of partnering as an equal with Product, Engineering, and Sales without relying on authority.

  • Executive presence and communication skills. Comfortable engaging with C-level customers, analysts, and internal leadership. A compelling event speaker.

  • Experience managing or mentoring marketers — either directly or through project-based leadership.

  • Ability and willingness to use Camunda's product. Comfort building with and alongside AI tools is expected at this level.

  • Understanding of the GSI, RSI, cloud hyperscaler and ISV ecosystems, and the development of joint value propositions

Nice to Haves

  • Direct experience in process automation, orchestration, BPM, or the BOAT space.

  • Experience marketing to both highly technical (developer) and senior business (LOB, C-suite) personas simultaneously.

  • Analyst relations experience with Gartner, Forrester, or similar firms.

  • Experience in a high-growth, remote-first company navigating category creation.
