About the role
The Vertical Marketing professional will support the strategy and execution of integrated marketing campaigns within key verticals across Public Sector, predominantly working across our Major Government, Public Safety & Justice and Devolved Nations customers. Bringing together thought leadership, demand generation and go-to-market activity to generate leads, new contacts, opportunities and revenue to support sales targets, through industry specific programmes.
The individual in this role will be responsible for supporting the planning and executing of a coherent vertical marketing plan, including both direct and digital marketing, social media, and customer activity.
What you’ll be doing
As directed by vertical marketing plan :
- Tactical delivery of campaigns, sponsorships and events in the vertical, working with agency and internal stakeholders to deploy and report on progress
- Support delivery of vertical communications, e.g. newsletters, emails
- Lead on creating new case studies and use cases for industry propositions
- Support the delivery of UK vertical marketing campaigns
- Write, edit, and direct the creation of vertical content
- Work with product and partner marketing to launch offers, incentives and new products into the vertical teams
- Support day-to-day sales enablement activity and work with Channel professional to ensure vertical content loaded on to sales portal
- Attend meetings and strategy sessions with vertical sales teams
- Work with account managers to ensure take up of marketing qualified leads and support sales teams with next steps and actions
- Report regularly to Vertical Manager on deliverables, performance and ROI for your activity
Essential Skills / Experience
- Proven B2B marketing experience with a track record of delivering multi-channel marketing activity.
- Experience in a marketing role with ownership of campaigns, content, events, or digital marketing initiatives.
- Ability to manage projects independently and take accountability for delivering outcomes.
Desirable Skills / Experience
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with confidence working across multiple teams and levels of seniority.
- Experience briefing and working with external agencies or third-party suppliers.
- Excellent written communication and content development skills.
- Strong organisational and project management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience measuring campaign performance and using data to optimise results and demonstrate ROI.
- Confident in proposing new ideas into vertical plan
- Customer centric – supporting the creation of vertical programmes to excite and attract new and existing customers
- Experience marketing to public sector, government, policing, justice, education, healthcare, or local authority audiences.
- Collaborative approach with the ability to build effective relationships across matrix environments.
- Background in telecoms, technology, connectivity, or related industries.
- Understanding of demand generation and lead nurturing activity.
