About the role

The Solution Architect Sepcialist supports the execution of the Solutions strategy and roadmap that supports BT’s commercial strategy through cross functional project and technical delivery and the participation of a team that pursues innovation as well as engineering & architecture excellence.
The role is to work with business and operational stakeholders, software engineers, architects to provide compelling E2E Solution, helping build and integrate with backend systems and APIs; and contributing/aligning to business needs/delivery timeline.
The role is key to providing outstanding service to our customers by maintaining and improving the products we supply them with.

What you’ll be doing

• Applies specialist technical expertise to develop and advise approach on a range of complex, high impact and high risk customer solutions and define the architectural strategy for the Service domain
• Accountable for defining and maintaining the architectural roadmap for the respective domain
• Creates, owns and implements the technical solutions and inputs into the roadmaps for the respective domain
• Liaises with CFU, Operational, Architectural and customer stakeholders, ensuring business needs are met through assurance of the design
• To work with programme managers and colleagues across BT to ensure programmes /projects are successful
• Supports inlife issues and supports knowledge management across the team.
• Manages and works to deliver in Agile environment
• Explore, propose and consider AI driven solutions

Essential Skills / Experience

• TMF implementation experience and knowledge of other equivalent Frameworks
• Solution Architecture - You can drive the implementation of the E2E solution framework in collaboration with senior business and operations stakeholder
• Product and service knowledge - You demonstrate subject matter expertise in complex telecom infrastructure, products and services. Specially in the fixed networks area and Ethernet products. Understanding of the Network design. You develop scalable and re-usable solutions to address business requirements
• Be agile - You lead collaborative ways of working and continuous improvement. You encourage their adoption where necessary to deliver the best results for the customer
• Technology excellence - You maintain a deep expertise in emerging technology trends. You use specialised skills and knowledge to guide the business and develop content to support the sharing of complex technical information. Experience of solutions using Salesforce, Vlocity, Ciena BluePlanet
• Improvement focus - You collaborate to identify how work activities across teams are related and highlight inefficiencies. You help to remove barriers and find the resources or support needed to improve processes
• Exposure to AI Tools and Implementation experience in any domain will be added advantage/preferred.
