What you’ll be doing

• Lead the design of end-to-end user experiences across the PNI lifecycle (planning, design, build, operate, maintain)
• Translate complex network inventory models (assets, connectivity, topology) into intuitive, scalable UI/UX
• Design GIS-enabled, map-centric applications to visualise and interact with physical network assets and their spatial relationships
• Create workflow-driven applications, including:
o Work order lifecycle (plan → build → handover → operations)
o Asset creation, updates, and validation
o Network traceability, routing, and impact analysis
• Design integrated spatial + enterprise workflows, connecting PNI with:
o Field applications (for on-site data capture and updates)
o Workflow management systems (task orchestration, approvals, lifecycle tracking)
o Address management systems (location validation, address matching, serviceability)
• Create multi-view interfaces combining:
o Map views (GIS layers, asset overlays)
o Tabular datasets (asset records, attributes)
o Workflow panels (tasks, forms, validations)
• Enable real-time and near real-time data interactions across integrated systems to ensure consistency between network design, field execution, and operational updates
• Collaborate with platform, GIS, integration, and delivery teams to ensure designs align with architecture and system interoperability
• Design for data quality, spatial accuracy, and validation workflows, including handling of geospatial conflicts, address mismatches, and field discrepancies
• Define and maintain design standards and reusable patterns for:
o Map interactions (zoom, layering, selection, tracing)
o Cross-system workflows and handoffs
o Data validation and exception management
• Facilitate design workshops, usability testing, and field-user validation with planners, engineers, and operations teams
• Support Product Owners and delivery teams in backlog refinement with clear workflows, integration

Essential Skills / Experience

• 6–10+ years of experience in GIS Product / UX Design for enterprise platforms

o Field applications
o Workflow management tools
o Address/location management systems
• Ability to design data-intensive and spatially complex interfaces, including:
o Large datasets (assets, attributes)
o Hierarchical/network relationships
o Multi-view layouts (map + table + workflow)
• Strong understanding of map interaction patterns, such as:
o Layer management
o Feature selection and editing
o Navigation (zoom, pan, spatial filtering)
• Experience translating complex data models and geospatial relationships into intuitive user interactions
• Strong collaboration with engineering, integration teams, product, and architecture stakeholders
• Experience with tools such as ARCGIS pro, ARCGIS portal
• Ability to design for:
o Multi-step workflows with dependencies
o Cross-system interactions and integrations
o Exception handling and validation scenarios
• Strong problem-solving skills in complex, ambiguous environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Desirable Skills / Experience

• Experience in Telecom, Utilities, or other network-based industries
• Exposure to network inventory systems (PNI, OSS, NMS)
• Understanding of:
o Network topology (fiber, copper, nodes, ducts, connectivity)
o Spatial data models and geospatial constraints
o Work order lifecycle and field operations
• Experience designing:
o Network trace and routing visualisations
o Spatial editing tools (asset placement, geometry updates)
o End-to-end workflows spanning design → field → operations systems
• Familiarity with:
o Field mobility solutions and offline/online sync patterns
o Workflow orchestration platforms (task routing, approvals, SLAs)
o Address validation, geocoding, and location intelligence systems
• Experience in data migration, reconciliation, and data quality frameworks
• Experience working in large-scale transformation or multi-system integration environments
• Understanding of API-driven architectures and event-based integrations
