About the role

This role will play a key role in helping BT grow its strategic Secure Networking portfolio in Southeast Asia (SEA) by driving sales of BT’s network and cyber security, traditional networking, SD-WAN overlay and cloud-delivered security capabilities.

The role is designed for a commercially minded senior salesperson, who can understand customer business challenges, shape outcome-led solutions and position BT as a trusted partner across security, connectivity and managed services.

The ideal candidate should have the ability to credibly engage in secure networking transformation led conversations, especially where SD-WAN, SSE and SASE are converging. The candidate should also have demonstrable established relationships within SG market within the customer and partner ecosystem.

Broader security knowledge is critical, particularly where it helps customers connect secure networking decisions to resilience, risk reduction and operational simplification.

What you’ll be doing

  • Qualify and sell BT’s Secure Networking portfolio across Singapore and SEA based customer opportunities.
  • Lead, manage and coach a small team of network and security sales specialists and engineers to drive sales outcomes.
  • Collaborate with BT’s local and regional sales teams, and global product leadership, to define and execute sales strategies for complex pursuits.
  • Act as the subject matter lead for secure network transformation opportunities, helping account and specialist teams position the right mix of underlay connectivity, overlay intelligence and embedded security controls.
  • Lead and shape solution strategies that combine BT’s global network capability and partner ecosystem into practical, commercially viable customer propositions, that balances cost, complexity, integration, service model and operational ownership.

Portfolio scope

  • Networking underlay: BT’s Global Fabric, Internet, MPLS, Ethernet, Cloud connectivity, LAN, Wireless LAN.
  • SD-WAN overlay: Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto/Prisma, Meraki and other vendor-led or hybrid SD-WAN propositions.
  • Network security and SSE/SASE: managed firewall, secure internet access, cloud access security broker, zero trust network access and firewall-as-a-service across leading vendor.
  • Cybersecurity: threat management, vulnerability management, endpoint/security, OT security, SIEM and managed SOC services.

Essential Skills / Experience

  • Secure networking expertise: Solid understanding of enterprise connectivity, routing concepts, hybrid WAN, internet breakout, cloud access and secure network architecture.
  • SD-WAN and SASE knowledge: Ability to explain how SD-WAN, SSE and SASE work together, including the strengths and limitations of single-vendor and multi-vendor models.
  • Leadership skills: Ability to directly manage a team across various technology disciplines, be a mentor and a coach, and develop and execute a strategy that delivers team’s success.
  • Customer-led solution selling: Strong ability to translate technical capabilities into customer outcomes such as resilience, user experience, cloud readiness, risk reduction and operational simplicity.
  • Commercial acumen: Ability to qualify opportunities, shape deal strategy, understand margin drivers and balance customer value with BT commercial objectives.
  • Partner management: Ability to work productively with technology vendors, local suppliers and internal stakeholders to build credible, deliverable solutions.
  • Consultative communication: Confident leading customer conversations, workshops, executive briefings and internal deal reviews in a clear and structured way.
  • Market awareness: Understanding of enterprise networking and cloud transformation trends, preferably within SEA or wider APAC market exposure.
  • Growth mindset: Willingness to continuously develop across both networking and security domains, recognising that secure networking requires a blended but realistic skillset.

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Experience in enterprise networking, security architecture and solutions, carrier services, managed services, systems integration or technology consulting.
  • Experience supporting multinational customers, complex RFPs, customer workshops or solution design discussions.
  • Hands-on or commercial exposure to SD-WAN and SASE solutions
  • Knowledge of Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Zscaler, Check Point, CrowdStrike or comparable networking/security vendors.
  • Understanding of Singapore and SEA enterprise customers and the ability to operate effectively in a regional or global sales environment.
