Job Description

Job Req ID: 61183

About the role

is an exciting opportunity to join BT as a Procurement Manager for Consumer Devices & Services, a category that is at the heart of the customer experience and one of the closest procurement categories to BT's customers.

As Procurement Manager for Consumer Devices & Services, you'll lead the end-to-end sourcing strategy across broadband devices, set-top boxes, and associated services, including refurbishment, installation, and support. These products and services play a critical role in connecting millions of homes across the UK and are central to the success of BT's consumer brands.

You'll be at the forefront of category management, strategic sourcing, and procurement business partnering, working closely with key suppliers and internal stakeholders across BT's Customer Facing Units to deliver commercial value, reduce total cost of ownership, and support BT's wider transformation agenda.

This is a high-impact role where your decisions help shape the technology and services that reach millions of customers, influencing both supplier strategy and the end-customer experience.

What you’ll be doing

Strategic

  • Help shape and contribute to category strategies for UK consumer devices and services, aligned with BT's business priorities.
  • Support the development of sourcing approaches, applying best practices around supplier selection, negotiation tactics and total cost of ownership.
  • Help build and maintain category expertise across broadband CPE, set-top boxes and related services.
  • Contribute to supplier strategy and relationship management with key UK device and services suppliers.

Operational

  • Lead end-to-end sourcing projects including RFx activity, commercial negotiations and contract execution.
  • Identify and deliver cost-saving opportunities through commercial, design and process levers.
  • Collaborate with UK CFU teams to ensure category plans deliver against key metrics.
  • Manage supplier performance and contractual obligations, driving continuous improvement.
  • Leverage digital procurement tools including AI-powered spend analytics platforms to surface insights and support smarter decision-making.
  • Partner with Customer Facing Units to deliver procurement business partnering services.

Essential Skills / Experience

  • Procurement experience with strong sourcing and category management skills, ideally within a UK context.
  • Expertise in consumer devices and/or IT hardware.
  • Proven track record of delivering commercial value, cost savings and performance improvements against key metrics.
  • Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen, with the ability to evaluate complex pricing models and total cost of ownership.
  • Excellent contract negotiation skills, with experience managing complex commercial agreements.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, comfortable engaging at senior levels within a large, matrixed organisation.
  • Experience in procurement business partnering and supplier relationship management.
  • Proactive self-starter with a focus on continuous improvement and delivering results on time and in full.
  • Comfortable using digital procurement tools and data-driven platforms to inform strategy and track performance.

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Experience in services procurement adjacent to consumer devices such as refurbishment, installation, logistics or device support services within the UK market.
  • MCIPS qualified or working towards CIPS accreditation.
  • Experience with AI-powered procurement or spend analytics tools.
  • Experience working within large, complex organisations or UK telecommunications environments.
