Are you an experienced IT Network Designer?

Job Title: Network Designer

Location: UK (Hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 flexible)

Key Responsibilities as a Network Designer for BT:

  • Design and implement innovative network solutions tailored to the needs of major UK clients.
  • As a design specialist you will promote what we do and understand the customers’ needs to relevant solutions.
  • Optimise network performance to ensure reliability and scalability for enterprise-grade applications.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends to drive continuous improvement and innovation in network design.
  • Drive a consultative approach by engaging with clients to understand their unique needs, providing tailored network design solutions, and fostering long-term partnerships to ensure strategic alignment and success.

Required Skills/Certifications:

  • Proven experience in network design, ideally with enterprise or public sector clients.
  • Strong knowledge of modern networking technologies – Fortinet SD-WAN, WAN/LAN, WiFi
  • Fortinet SD-WAN Certifications (Preferred):
    • FCSS – Network Security (SD-WAN Focus): Expertise in deploying and managing Fortinet Secure SD-WAN solutions. Requires FCSS – Secure Access Service Edge and FCSS – SD-WAN 7.4 Architect exams.

    • NSE 7 – SD-WAN 7.2: Validates skills in configuring and troubleshooting Fortinet SD-WAN features. Requires NSE 4 certification.

    • FCP – Network Security: Includes SD-WAN knowledge, focusing on FortiGate administration and FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer specialization. Requires NSE 4 certification.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for tackling complex technical challenges.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Certifications: CCNA and CCNP.
