About the role
Due to the sensitive nature of this role you will be required to have DV (Developed Vetting) level Security Clearance (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/united-kingdom-security-vetting-clearance-levels/national-security-vetting-clearance-levels). An allowance of £5k per annum will be payable monthly while you hold this DV and continue to work in a role that requires that level of security clearance. The terms of this allowance will be made available if you are successful in being recruited into this role.
This job role is based onsite (Office based 5 days per week). Monday-Friday 37.5 hours per week. You will need to be eligible to obtain DV Security Clearance before starting this role. You will need to have lived in the UK for 10+ years to be eligible.
In this technical graduate programme, you’ll be joining our cloud delivery team, which is a fast paced, constantly evolving team, that delivers world class secure cloud solutions that make a real difference to our customers.

What you will be doing (Role accountabilities)
- Be hands on in the build and development of world class secure cloud-based solutions as part of an agile delivery team.
- Contribute to the design of cloud solutions.
- Work directly with our customers to understand their requirements.
- Working with support teams to enable management and monitoring of cloud-based systems, and their ongoing support.
- Provide some third line support to deployed cloud-based solutions.
- Utilise cloud services, primarily in AWS, in the development of cloud based platforms.
- Manage infrastructure-as-code, for example using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Use scripting languages (for example Python) to define processes and serverless functions.
- Use CI/CD pipelines, and tools such as Jenkins.
- Automate specific management and maintenance activities, to support BAU tasks in complex systems environments.
- Use agile delivery processes.
- Apply software engineering principles to complex systems at scale.
- Manage and engage with internal and external stakeholders.

Entry Requirements
At least a predicted 2:2 in a STEM subject
Or equivalent SCQF (Scottish credit and qualifications framework)
